To answer your question here,Gunnie:
It is winding up.I will paint around the octogonal pads on the tracks a sort of rust color,I will connect the wire to the searchlight from the turret recepticle.
I will paint and install the straps to tie down the jerrycans.I will install the jerrycans I will mount the tracks. Then I wil.l gloss the long sponson box sides, where US ARMY JK00B5 will be put on by individual decals.Aso I will hand paint CHAOS (the name of my tank) On the bore evactuator.I will make up some straps for the bustle rack area,I put the tie down loops on already.I will add duffle bags and tent rolls.then I can wash, and lightly weather. And lastly,a dull cote. Was done modelling for the night last night and was turning off the desklights in the basement and knocked my halftrack on the floor. It created some type of strange worm hole effect because I know twice as many parts broke off of it as I glued on it in the first place... However, I should still be able to finish on time. #:-)

OUCH! If you can repair it - you've still got until July 31 to wrap it up! I dropped my M8 Light Armored Car too just as I finished it and was dullcoting it one last time. I found many more pieces than I though I put in it originally too #:-) But - I went back and rebuilt the wrecked it - and it came out better - with less parts than before

If you have a scanner, take regular photos and scan to your computer memory. I've done that a few times with some success

Alright guys...this is my first post in this thread. I joined the campaign a little late so I chose a somewhat easy project. I have almost finished my JS3 and to tel you the truth, it is not that bad of a kit. One of the problems I had, which is probably present in most of Mr. Tamiya's kits, were the vinyl track. I had to take 2 of the links out on each. After a little finagling, I got them somewhat right. I added a few scratchbuilt items, like power cable for the headlight, but pretty much stuck to OOB. I will post some pics as soon as I get my DigCam back from my friend. I drybrushed some accents and I have put 2 coats of future and added the decals. Then I seal the decals with future again. All that is left is to do the final wash, a little more dry brushing and the dullcoat. Until next time........

Yeah - here in Sunnyvale it's been either over the 100 degree mark - or just shy of it for a last few days. A bit too hot to get modeling done - though I do go into the books a lot when it's this hot outside...

I'm glad the deadline got extended. No chance in finishing my Tamiya T-62, but I did make a change to doing my Italeri T-62. Just think of it as the Tamiya kit that got hit by Dr. Shrinker's evil ray.

This project entails the ex-Esci Italeri T-62 with Eduard PE and an Armo aluminum barrel. Lower hull is complete less suspension, turret is nearing completion as well. I had to counterweight the backside of the turret to counteract the extra weight of the aluminum barrel. Road wheels look to be the biggest problem but I still think I can make them look acceptable.

Working PE in 1/72 scale armor should give me extra points!

Yes, thanks for the extension. I might have made it with the M60A2, but lost a night's work to a power outage after a thunderstorm. Certainly the M48A3 would not have been ready. This one is taking on a life of its own!

Comrades Penpen, Mikeli and Sabot: do please please PLEASE finish your respective Great Soviet Tanks. [enter agitprop with blaring Soviet National Anthem] We, the Great Soviet, need it BADLY considering NATO's got oodles of nice tanks. Especially Penpen's T-64 with its Great Soviet 115mm gun... did anyone build a T-72M or a T-80BV? Operation Zhukov-4 might just commence if we get our forces up and running! [exit agitprop with blaring Soviet National Anthem]

Oooh! Eagle! Eagle! Targets for me Gaskin and Jacques' Shilka!

Comrade Grasshopp, looking forward to see yet another Fine Great Soviet Tank ready to drive over West Germany's open fields!

Comrade Jacques, what NATO doesn't know is that that M110 is crewed by a Spetznaz team. MWUHAHAHAHAHA!

The "Has Been" is reporting for convoy escort duty in Southeast Asia circa 1967. Bring it. Quad .50s in the morning, smells like victory...

Well Guys, this is why i like this site so much...the friendly competition, which I find can be lacking in other DG's. This place is like a model club...

And the Motherland will not allow the west to overcome! The Rodina will BURY you in (1/35 scale military miniature) tanks, artillery, and AFV's. The socialist regime will endure and WE - WILL - BREAK - YOU!

#:-)
