Well Guys, this is why i like this site so much...the friendly competition, which I find can be lacking in other DG's. This place is like a model club...
And the Motherland will not allow the west to overcome! The Rodina will BURY you in (1/35 scale military miniature) tanks, artillery, and AFV's. The socialist regime will endure and WE - WILL - BREAK - YOU!

Heh heh - The Twilight 2000 Campaign begins on Oktober 1 - Red Star Rising huh?!?

I do believe that we are "lying low" and waiting for the capitalist running-dogs to outspend themselves. Alas, the current Russian government (and my wife) will not allow any "defense expenditure deficits" so we must buy only what we can afford...now. Soon all the debt in the west will cause collapse and you will only be able to afford Deawoo's armed with Bee-bee guns! HA! and our meagre force of 10 T-90 tanks, 3 artillery pieces, and 500 trained (and paid) soldiers will RULE THE WORLD!
Oh, and bye the bye, for the TW 2000 campaign, is a explosion prone Pinto considered a weapon? #:-)

Only in the hands of a US Marine - they turn anything into a weapon...

oh boy, and me without my waders...
Now we just need to encourage the others to finish up what they have...it would be pretty cool to see all those who entered into the campaign to have their respective kits done. SO get at it guys, July 31st is coming quick! :-)

When T2000 starts, I'll be in NATO's side by then (sorry Jacques hehehe) unless I make decals to show the M1A3 as a
captured Soviet tank... and if I have time, perhaps a T-2000 (does not mean "Twilight 2000') "White Ghost" (surprise surprise!)

Nimitzfan (c/o Scoccia), that is one Fine Mean Looking Great Soviet Main Battle Tank you have there! For this, you get the...
...
ORDER FOR SERVICE TO THE MOTHERLAND IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR!
About the medal: "Established 28 October 1974. Awarded to servicemen of the Soviet Army and Navy, and of the border and internal security troops for achievements in combat training and political education, maintenance of a high degree of combat readiness, and mastery of new combat equipment; for high efficiency in execution of duties; for fulfillment of special assignments, for valor and selflessness in the performance of military duty and other services to the Motherland during service in the armed forces." Source:
http://soviet-awards.addr.com/orders7.htm#order15 Query: is that the Tamiya kit or another manufacturer?
BTW, it appears I'm the unofficial
zampolit of the Red Army, giving medals as ordered by Chairman Kruschev. Does NATO have a counterpart of me?

Fabio, congrats on the Centauro.
I've been following this build all along and the wait for the pics was worth it. Excellent detailing/construction, very effective high lighting--and an interesting subject. Good job!

Fabio,
Your Centauro looks very good.
Thanks for posting the pictures for me. I also included some pictures of a Tamiya T-62 that I finished at the same time. I started it long before the Group build began. However, the group build helped me to move its construction along also.

The T-72 w/ ERA is by DML/Dragon and is out of the box. The T-62 is the old Tamiya kit.

Hey you Warsaw Pact guys!!! Do you know how many sleepless nights I spent on adding detail and converting that resin block? No way for you to do what you want to do to it!!! Unfortunately for you with all the cyano, putty and expoxy glue I use to build it it's almost invulnerable. It can survive after being hit by a one billion megatons nuclear bomb...

Uh huh, then that Shillelagh will simply put a weee small dent on that T-72 'coz the warhead failed to detonate.
And by the time it does hit the T-72, your Star Ship would've been a smoldering ruin thanks to the T-72's 125mm gun.

That's Ok 'cause I'll pop up from behind in my Sheridan and give you a blast from my 152mm main gun if my Shileaghly chooses to act up.

My M16 is cursed as sure as I sit here. After knocking it on the floor and putting it all back together I thought I was almost finished. Added a neato chain the the front and decided to hit it with some matte arcylic to fix it in place. Grabbed the can of grey primer by mistake and blammo... Panzer gray two tone Vietnam era halftrack... I'll have to go back and repaint and reweather the front now...
Stick with me, I'll get this rascal finished yet.
