It is really good to see that a model company is finally noticing that Canada has worthy vehicles for modelling subjects. Good on you Trumpeter!! As a Canadian living in the United Kingdom its wonderful having all this history around me....and I'm a huge fan of the modern British Forces....but my heart will always stay with Canada and our Forces at home and overseas!!! Cheers to them!!!

As will the M1117 when it is released.
Thank you, Trumpeter!

Thanks Jason, retaining chains for the grenade dischargers are include in the PE parts. The PE parts of turret are as same as our ASLAV-25.
Cougar Grizzly and Husky? tooling.
I have lots of photo of Bufflo but without armour ..............I need more picture of him.................
Thanks for the quick reply and the for PE infomation. Excellent update about the AVGP series.......Grizzly/Cougar/Husky.
Are you talking about the Canadian Buffalo as in the the recovery version of the LAV 8x8 or the Canadian Buffalo EROC used for IED clearance in Afghanistan?
The recovery version would be nice....but I would suggest that the Canadian Bison 8x8 would be much more popular for modellers.

Yes a standard Bison would be a great addition.
And if you are talking about the Recovery Bison, please refrain from calling it a Buffalo, it's just refered to as a Bison MRT (Mobile Repair Team).
cheers

Hey Rick,
Looks they finally dropped the Kodiak label from the LAV III....anything is possible.
I would prefer a Bison APC kit (with and without add-on armour) over a Bison MRT kit.....but both would be nice.

Nice to see. Quite a coincidental release schedule from Trumpeter given the amount of Canadian kit that has appeared in resin over the past 18 months (LAV-III, LAV-TUA, Grizzly, Husky). Did BVM ever release the Bison, or did they get tired of being trumped by the styrene biz?

Nope, no Bison from Best Value Models yet.
What else do we want? How about a good injection moulded kit of the old Iltis and the ADATS?

Now those are excellent offers Dan and Graeme....thanks guys.
If kits are going to be produced then might as well get the best reference images to start with from the beginning.

There is a difference between the Bison MRT and the MRV, the major one is the blade on the front of the MRV. The MRT version does not have the blade.
The MRV (from forces.gc.ca)
The MRT

This is something that I cannot wait to get. I have a fluted 25mm barrel that I hope will fit this, but we'll see when it comes out
I love all the eye candy and detail that this kit is offering. I would love to add this to my stash, and I think it would look great next to a USMC LAV-25

Not yet, but there is talk of converting some of the LAV's that were destined to be LAV-TUA, to LAV with a Remote Weapon Station (different than the one on the Stryker unfortunately). I speak with the project director and find out more unclas details.

There is only one photo because it is a concept photo taken from casr.ca.
This vehicle is in the process of being produced but I doubt it will be called the Bison 2. Here is the new casr.ca page on it. They have updated the picture to have the Nanuk weapons station on it.
