Outstanding!
I never thought that I would see the day of modern Canadian armour being produced by a major company in plastic.
cheers

WOW! Very nice to see and about bl**dy time!! I'm knee deep into another of Real Model's superb offerings but this is good to see because hopefully it will bring more modellers into the fold of modern Canadian armour that aren't ready to attack a resin conversion kit yet. Can't wait to see this one on the shelves.

I see cool weather screens for the turret hatches, but what about the driver? (which is the most important one!). Maybe they do have it, just not put on the test build. Looks OK. Too bad they don't do the unarmoured one, so we could do some home based versions.

FInally!
Trumpeter is becoming my main manufacturer nowadays. Finally some manufacturer is producing what modellers need. We don't need 200 Panthers.
It's also great that there are now other options instead of resin.

I'm looking out for this release. It's by far the best looking LAV variant.

it certainly looks like a good model, I will be interested to see how it stands against the Real model Conversion.
I will also be interested to see what price it will retail at once released as I was shocked at the last model show I went to a couple of weeks a go at the price of there new M1078 truck (£40) and M198 155mm towed Howitzer (£25.00) on the venders stands.
compared against the Hobbyboss AAVP series that was retailing at £29.99 on the same stands it was quite any eye opener.
Having said that it is on my list of models to build once I can get one at the right price
Well done to Trumpeter for releasing modern items
cheers

Keith,
I think that new Trumpeter LAV III look good.
Many modelers have problem with build resin conversion or resin models.
Many PE parts for many modelers is problem. As well resolve price because all don't pay big price in resin model.
I wait to compare Real Model with Trumpeter.

I second that. And it's not just an armour kit that happens to be used by Canada. Like a Sherman with some Canadian decals. This was meant to be Canadian from the beginning!
Now if we could just get some crew and infantry figures.....???? At this point anything is possible!

Hoorah!!!
Being sadly a victim of the credit crunch and having had to close down my business this is a godsend, i have been looking at Realmodels kits and weeping silently to myself when i see the prices.
Trumpeter have gone from strength to strength in the last six years and i can see my next two affordable kits being this and their next gen challenger.
Trumpeter i salute you. What next? How about a Buffallo or a Cougar.

I cannot thank Trumpeter enough for this.
It's totally about time someone made a Canadian piece of modern armor.
I could never justify buying a stryker at $50 and spending another $150 to convert it.
I'll probably buy 2 or 3 right off the start.
Like another member said"Who needs 200 versions of a Panther"or Tiger?

Thanks Trumpeter, after working in the LAV for the last eight years I was looking forward to building it, but never thought anyone would produce a kit in plastic. This will be my first Modern Kit, and I have lots of pictures to build it to my specs.

Thanks for the preview....it looks very nice. It is always great to see modern Canadian armoured vehicles being produced.
My suggestion to Trumpeter would be to include the 8 retaining chains for the grenade dischargers.....this is a much overlooked detail and it is a minor thing to add to the PE parts....but it adds a bunch of detail and accuracy to the LAV III.
Great to hear the LAV TUA is being worked on now.....what is the general timeline for the Canadian Grizzly and Husky?

Thanks Jason, retaining chains for the grenade dischargers are include in the PE parts. The PE parts of turret are as same as our ASLAV-25.
Cougar Grizzly and Husky? tooling.
I have lots of photo of Bufflo but without armour ..............I need more picture of him.................
