Hi Yvan,
Well done! Really clean build. How did you find the EEC's? were they relatively easy to remove from the sprue? Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see this one painted.

oooohhh! Nice one. Is this going to be marked in the famous "cobra king" markings? One nitpick or two if u dont mind. Jumbos had the earlier m4 open spoke wheels, well most of em did. And the EECs were permanently welded on since the jumbo had extra weight. So it would be hard for it to come off. But i could be wrong

Tks both
no, it's not going to be the Cobra King, but the only known french Jumbo
therefore based on the unique existing picture, road wheels are a mix of mix of plain dished wheels and pressed spoked wheels, only the spare one on the front hull is a different type ( open spoke )
regarding the EEC, they were very easy to remove for the sprue ( generaly speaking, the casting of Blast resin on this kit is excellent )
I'm with you, they are supposed to be welded ( these are not the later type which were molded together with the connector), but it can be seem on some pictures that some of them come off anyway

Yvan, great work, once again! Nice and clean build. The Jumbo is high on my wants list, but I'll have to reduce the stash a bit first...
Are the periscope guards scratch built?

Now with some paint
gray primer, preshadowing in black, base coat ( 2/3 olive darb - 1/3 buff ) and a coat of Klir ( aka Future ) as gloss varnish
the shade will still change a bit after next wash ( probably raw umber and green earth )

A twelve step program? Hmmmmm........makes for great relapses and I can blame the dwindling bank account and stuffed closet on an affliction!!!! AWESOME!!! I can hear it now...."I'm sorry, Honey. My sponser wasn't online and there was a sale! Buy 14 and get the 15th free!!!! How Could I pass THAT up?"
As you can tell.......I have taken the forced retirement package in my marriage. I'm now a cautionary tale. Moral is.....If I had never gotten married, I could have spent more time with my models. Errr......that wasn't what I was suppose to learn? Great!!! More therapy bills!!!!

Hi Yvan
That looks superb mate.
I love the small detail work and the periscope guards look the business. The colour you have realised your tools really adds good contrast.
The EECs are rightly snapped off in places as they would easily snag through rubble etc. and quality/style would differ depending on local foundries for example.
I like that you have decided on a rarer marked AFV and the colour of the markings make it stand alone! Good to see Cobra King take a back seat for a change.
Good stuff

Tks you guys for the comments
Hi Jon,
Inner weld seams on top of the hull are made of plastic rod ( 0,5 mm ) glued with cynaocrylate and then softened with Tamiya extra thin cement, and finaly engraved
Those green ones are made of Duro ( Kneadatite green stuff )

This time it's completed
for sure it's not brightly, shining, rusty, color modulated and all those nice "artistic" technics nowadays
just aim to be as realistic as possible
Tks for looking

Coming along nicely Yvan really a good build.
So what kind of base for the thing?
Only thing I might say and not a bad thing is try Vallejo Periscope from the Panzer Aces range on the periscopes looks good but if you already did it then forget that then.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers
Jeff
