That really is a great piece of work, Dave. Outstanding cammo and weathering. I am MOST impressed with the scratch engine grills! As mentioned above, the wire ring around the fan grills would ice it. What did you use for the mesh?

I have not checked into the site in a while and I was quite surprised to see this resurface.
Yes it was fun to slop up a tank again, I plan on slopping up a few more in the future but right now I am back in my aircraft. I am sure after all the sanding and filling I’ll be more than ready to do some Heavy Metal.
The grills were punched out from a moisture trap filter that we had at the factory I used to work at before it closed down. The filter comes as a roll of stainless steel (?) mesh that fit down into the trap. I wish I knew where we got them from because I would love to get my hands on some more of it. I only had one filter.
