Okay…
This is my first piece of armor after 20+ years. I did start building armor when I first started building models but I switched to building aircraft in those 20 years since my youth.
The kit is the Shanghai Dragon 1/35 IR Panther Ausf G. It was built mostly out of the box, with the exception of the beat up fenders that I made from plastic card. I also used wire mesh for the engine deck cut to fit.
I learned a lot of new things with this build and there are some things that I will do differently on the next one. The most important thing that I think I learned was that model building can be fun again. In truth, though I still like my aircraft, they are so easy to get burned out on with all the filling and sanding.
Enough babble on with the show!
So that’s it. Tell me what you think. Don’t be afraid to tear into it, I can take it. Besides, that is the best way to learn. So if no one can think of anything I missed, I’m ready to call it done.

Hi Dave
Welcome back from "the dark side" WOW, what a paint job - It looks absolutly perfect. And I just love that heavy weathering, the mud looks very realistic - how did you do it?
The only thing that spring my eye, is the missing PE! I know it's not a must for all modellers, and that it's not always the easiest thing to work with, but with your great modelling skills, go for it on your next model. It would give the model that little extra edge. Well, just my humble oppinion.

Dave
Very good - I like it, particularly the weathering. One small point - you might like to check the length of the barrel on the hull MG - it looks too long.

Great model work bud. Those tow cables are pretty stiff and wouldn't drape that loose looking.
Good job

Looks good to me. I really like the camo pattern. MG does appear a bit long, as mentioned.

WOW, great Panther. If my current project comes out that nice I would be thrilled. Can you share your track painting secrets? That is just the look I want on my StuG III.

That looks super, Dave. You’ve achieved an extremely effective paint & weathering job. Would be very interested to hear you give a run-down of how you achieved it.
Excellent piece of work, really. Bravo.

THAT is nice Dave. It must be nice , after building aircraft for so long, to do a subject you can slop up like a tank. RONNY.
