I have decided to post a thread on the long awaited T-90 by Trumpeter. I'm hoping that, with enough repsonses, they will finally release this long lost kit.

Hi,

maybe your talking about Zvezda, they announced it 5 years back or so and it was pushed back every year.

Never heard of Trumpy neither.

Best regards,

Andreas

Heck, Zvezda announced it back in 2004! Few things would make my modeling brain happier than a new tool T-80 and T-90 from any manufacturer of quality.

Then it must have been Zvezda I was thinking about. If a moderator is listening, please change to "Petition to Zvezda".

You never know.. Trumpeter could very well be working on one.. I mean, they are coming out with a lot of Soviet/Russian vehicles.

Will keep the fingers crossed

Trumpeter really does a excellent job on their Russian/Soviet kits. Hoping for a BTR out of them as well.

I also would be interested, while watching the joke-announcement.
Including to the "announcement" of the T-90 there was the 2S6M Tunguska (SA-19 Grison), which is very interesting to me.

Yes, Zvezda announced the T-90 some time ago, but now we have a final date.... end of this year. (3rd or 4th quarter, as I remember)

Also I saw the 1/72 Topol, but only this small kit has a very high price...okay, it´s in resin.
So let´s hope, to get some good plastic-kits in the bigger scale.

Yes Hisham, I have a small list, made of different announcements and posts.
But I´m sure, I will be suprised, when I will possibly see my loved kit.
But we will see and hope for the best.

Soeren

edit:
Ahh, all other older soviet vehicles also would be interesting!
(for example 2S3 "Akatsya" and an other 2S1 "Gvozdika")
Thanks Erik!

Trump and HobbyBoss owes us at least a dozen new modern releases so I guess it is highly unlikely that a t-90 or anything else mentioned here will appear in the next 2-3 years.
Maybe it is better that a t-90 from Zvezda never surfaced, their t-72 is awful...
Good luck in Your campain

I bet that Zvezda will never do its T-90, and I bet that Trumpy will produce soon a new T-72, a new T-80 and (finally) a T-90...

(...Well. To be honest this is a forecasting that looks like a wishlist... )

I really, really don't care WHO builds one!

I just want some badly

trying to keep the "sovietski virus" in check with a stash of older T72/80,Btr's,Bmp's and stuff, but I can't hold it any longer

But I truly wonder why, oh,why, do several "brands" make the same vehicles, in early, mid early, late early, mid, mid mdi, mid late, final mid, late, early late, late late, final late version????
and leave a big crowd without their goodies?
I can not imagine that there would be more people intrested in a let's say the Flak on halftrack variant nr6 , then there would be intrested in a better T72, T80 a T90 , and what's up with the truck department, haven't seen a plastic kit of a modern Russian cargo truck....

and the wishlist goes on and on
and I can't be the only one with that feeling...

Tha Pit, there are several Maz, Tatras, Gaz, and Urals in plastic. Actually plan on picking up Trumpy's Maz for a vignette. Completely agree with the rest of your statement.

Trumpy Maz is very good except for the wheels that are made in vinyl and slightly incorrect in shape.

Anyway, I have plenty of reference about the MAZ.
If you need some help, let me know when you are ready to start Matt

cheers

Tha pit,

I totally agry with youre statment. This i only not see in armor, but also in aircraft. I really want a good quallity kit of a MIG-25 and MIG-31 on the 1:48 scale. You can buy a F-16 from type A till Block 60, but a MIG-31 kit on 1:48 scale... No sir...

The tanks on 1:35 scale are the same story, or the T-90 kit is made by a Eastern Express like manufacturor with all the bad details...

Thanks to Trumpeter, for bringing out some nice T-62 kits.
They are not perfect, but with a little scratch building they look verry good.

Lets hope that Trumpeter or Hobby Boss come up with some nice T-72, T-80 or T-90 kits

Regards,

Remco

While we're on the subject of Trumpeter.. whatever happened to their R&D guy GAOYUE? He hasn't posted anything here in a long time.. or even said anything about what they may be working on. Do you think he was ordered not to do that so as to keep things more secret? Hmmmmm...

Hi, yes Hobbyboss is a branch of Trumpeter.
The Yak-38 Forger will be availabale very soon.
See on their webpage, it was added to the list 2 months ago.
A small review of the kit can be found on ipmsphilipines .

Also planning a plastic model-kit is a very time-consuming work.
Also it´s very hard to get good drawings and measurements... in comparison to other well known aircraft or tanks.

You would laugh, but some other model kits were announced by other companies about 10 years ago... but until today, they not appeared. (ICM - 2S19 MSTA-S howitzer; Skif - 2S6M Tunguska "SA-19 Grison")
But both can be found as resin-kits in 1/35 scale.

greetings...

No 1/35 2S19 in any medium... I think Soeren misspoke unless there is a secret kit I have not heard of.

Personally I'd love to see the Tunguska that Trumpeter announced many many years ago. Even the uparmoured BMP-3 would be very very nice

You mean this BMP-3? This has been out for a while now

Or is there another up-armored version?
