For the most part when it comes to all things styrene, resin, or metal, Santa is smart enough after all this time to just leave $$$ with a note saying something like have fun. Well, so far I hve been able to to that into Trumpy's Aerosan. It's a pretty awesome kit and I am very excited. The LHS has some other cool stuff that I am most likely going to go back for and I have a few mil orders that I am going to place tonight.

I did get a figure on x-mas and a dremel, airbrush and a 32nd scale F4F-4 Martlett earlier for xmas earlier this month.

Edit: Oh, and my birthday is this Saturday (yes, 12/31), so here's to hoping it keeps coming in!!

Well no kits from my family (I never ask for anything because I have enough!)

I have however treated myself to a few kits this Christmas (I say a few, I've bought tons) In terms of Russian stuff though, i've gone for something a bit different and bought an Eduard and a KoPro 1/48 SU-25 and a couple of Eduard 1/48 MIG-21's.

Just a noob, so I'm a little cautious about what I asked for:

Tamiya Zero-Zeke
Cyber-Hobby-M50 Super Sherman
various paints (mostly Tamiya)
Teeny Tiny brushes(finally!)
1 bottle MR Surfacer

No excuses for bad painting and seams now!

No Russian models this go round....just finished Dragon T34-76 in the Kursk tradition! Oh and also an Air Fix Mig 15 Midget....

Just started my first IL-2 Sturmovik!

Hi...
Haven't posted anything in quite a while but I do check the site. i saw this thread and thought I would chime in...

No modelling related gifts this year...nobody knows what to get me, so I generally get gift cards. That way I can get whatever strikes my fancy.

Anyway, I used an amazon gift card to buy a couple of books that I have been meaning to buy.

I ordered "Blood, Steel and Myth" by George Nipe and "To The Gates of Stalingrad" by David Glantz. I ordered them on Dec. 26th and they arrived on Dec. 28th . I already have "Armaegeddon In Stalingrad" by Glantz, but I haven't read it yet, as I wanted to read the first book in the trilogy first. I am now set for reading material for a while, although I do plan to order "Demolishing The Myth" by Zamulin (another Kursk book) in the next month or so.
