Next small update - Exhaust
I found a fatal error in the bottom of the cab. The tunnel for the engine is closer to 4-5 mm. For this reason, the engine will not fit under the cab. The only possible solution is:
Make new parts number - C7 + C15, C11 and C12 adjust.

Wouldn't it make more sense to make the engine slightly smaller to fit the kit than to rework the whole cab to fit the engine?
I think you would sell more engine sets than you would huge reworked cab sets.

I'll have to buy another model to adjust parts. These parts are supplied from the resin with the engine. Still try to disassemble the cab.

I understand, but my motor is done and I know that there will be a lot of modelers who say Real model did very little and incorrect engine. Instead of saying: Hobby Boss did wrong tunnel under the cab.

I agree make the back of the engine a bit smaller. When doing a CPK conversion the "cut out" for the engine is made a lot smaller so nobody is ever going to see that it is not exactly to scale.

Make of all new engine is one month work. I think that is no problem two or three plastic parts exchanged for resin parts.

Yes, I know that price is important. I would like to complied with a similar price as my other engines.
Everything bad is good for something. because it can improve the interior cabin. Edward prepares PE set (possibly colored) and I'll do something resin.

Just awesome. I am saving to get the kit but I am only interested in the tractor as I have been waiting for a plastic kit since 2004 to be able to use it in a dio I have been planning since then. Your build is just inspirational.

Hi Charles,
I think that a lot of modelers expected this model. Also, I built the M1070 HET from AA (very nice resin kit), but this model is really the best we've ever built. A small mistake that I deal with the matter only to those who want to install the engine. Ha ha I have already ordered a second kit.

Thank you for your opinion. Who will want to modify the model and add an engine like the one he buys. I know a lot of modelers accessories and upgrade kits do not buy much but those who want to have a model conforming to the real vehicle.

I doubt the engine would even look undersized. It would still fill the available space.
If this issue wasn't brought out, no one would be able to tell it was not the correct size anyhow. Or is it an issue? Do you have actual measurements on the opening under the cab, or are you just working from the picture of the deformed cab after an IED strike you posted above?
I'll wait to see how much the engine and cab rebuild set come out to be and I bet the engine alone would have been much cheaper and would have sold just as well, if not better.
With the price of the kit and how detailed it already is, I don't see many people putting more money into it for expensive resin sets. The DEF Model wheel set is a rediculouse $100 as it is (which I will not be getting). I don't think I would put out any more than about $30 for additional resin for this one.
To each thier own though.
