I doubt the engine would even look undersized. It would still fill the available space.

If this issue wasn't brought out, no one would be able to tell it was not the correct size anyhow. Or is it an issue? Do you have actual measurements on the opening under the cab, or are you just working from the picture of the deformed cab after an IED strike you posted above?

I'll wait to see how much the engine and cab rebuild set come out to be and I bet the engine alone would have been much cheaper and would have sold just as well, if not better.

With the price of the kit and how detailed it already is, I don't see many people putting more money into it for expensive resin sets. The DEF Model wheel set is a rediculouse $100 as it is (which I will not be getting). I don't think I would put out any more than about $30 for additional resin for this one.

I have a couple of questions for you, as you seem to be the "Konowledgeable one"??

Would the Tractor and trailer come out of the Factory in a basic green colour, then have the camo sprayed on afterwards?

If the unit was then posted to Iraq/Afghanistan, would the sand colour then be painted over the camo?

I ask these questions as all the reference I have seen shows the trucks and trailers with unpainted hydraulic hoses and fittings, almost as though they were fitted after painting? I can't find any pics of desert schemes to prove they were painted in sand at the Factory or not???

Personally, I think that too. Some promotional photos but show HET-colored sand. Maybe someone could help us out of the U.S. Army.

You're right. The British version (a.k.a. M1070F) is fitted with a 700 HP Caterpillar C-18 engine :




whereas the US one has a 500 HP Detroit Diesel 8V92.
