I've been playing with this game for a while, and it occurred to me that it would be nice to have a campaign for the other fans as well. After all it's full of strange tanks and curious modifications.
The rules would be something like this:
1. vehicle from the game (obviously)
2. stock vehicle (ie. the vehicle which has not been modified/researched) is not accepted (or maybe not encouraged) -scratch building, kit bashing encouraged
3. any scale
4. maybe 2 photos of the model, one screenshot of the player's stats with the vehicle (it's not necessary, but nice if included)

I could get behind this. Playing the game has introduced me to a lot of interesting and otherwise obscure paper/prototype vehicles that I would like to build. For example, I've looked for kits of the American T1 Heavy/M6 heavy tank but haven't found anything.
Would you allow speculative builds that the game has, for example the PzIV schmalturm?

I would be game for this, but I think the builder should include a screen shot of the tank in question, just my thought.

WoT had a model building contest a couple months back and I built an AT-1 for the contest, as seen here:

There you go. It proves quite nicely (albeit disappointingly) that there's nothing new under the sun.
I was quite pleased with this idea, and boom... someone steals my thunder

It's been a while since I last played, I can barely get it to run on my computer. I still like this campaign idea.

I would be in for this campaign. Too bad this idea was not proposed last week. I've just started working on commander's T-10m/IS-8 that would have been great for this build. I've still got other's I can choose from.

I don't see why you could not include the model. It's about having fun, after all.
By the way, the idea obviously is catching up independently everywhere

Count me in!
WoT features some cool tanks esp. in the Low Tier section. Also great scratchbuilding opportunities.

Hi folks, I just received my big order from Squadron's Black Friday sale. In some of the kits were "World of Tanks" cards. I don't play as I find it hard enough to get to the work bench as it is. So, anybody want them ?

I am in with a T82 or T18 US HMC. Or maybe SU-5/26/14 Soviet artillery. No wait, I'd like to build a T1 Cunningham...
Way to many cool tanks to choose from.

funny, the tank I most like to build, Panthers, are my worst tank in the game and the tank I loathe the very look of and would never willingly model is my best in-game.
I just cannot STAND the 35T as a scale model, but in game it's the one I play that is almost always fun.
The folks at WOT really need to have a 'giant wallets only' area/arena and a 'just dubbing around' zone.
Sort of sick of running into type 59's or IS whatevers in a panther.
tl/dr
great idea, but I'm not sure I'll join.. lemme think about it.

This seems like a good excuse to me to finally start a E-100 with a krupp turret. Now if I can only find a a krupp turret
