Calling it done, gloss, decals, gloss, flat, overall oil wash, pin wash, dot filter, chipping and pigments. Just some rockets and a figure to complete. Hope you like! First time doing a basic dunkelgelb vehicle, pretty happy with how it turned out, I was trying to avoid going overboard with the chipping.

Looks fantastic, Colin! Chipping is just right IMHO. Saw this kit in a secondhand store in Tokyo this weekend, and after following your build I had to wrestle myself to the ground not to add it to the stash. After seeing your finished product I may go back and get it anyway, and to heck with the wife's nasty looks...

Great looking vehicle, Colin! The extra effort and details really shows - especially on the launcher and doors.
The paint job is great! Chipping is often overdone in my opinion unless it is white wash or desert repaint.
One to be proud of.

Hello all. I've only ever posted at Historicus Forma previously. Would a very late entry, and already half built Katyusha be acceptable, or is the photo of the unstarted kit a must have? Incidentally, what are "AM" parts? I don't understand that one.
TIA

AM = After-Market; means parts and upgrades you buy spate from the kit like track links, photo-etch and resin parts.

Mark,
Thanks. I really should have been able to figure that out for myself,

Alan,
I'm not the campaign leader so I don't have the authority to say yes or no, but I think you'll find your answer in the rules listed on the campaign site: here

Hello! I hadn’t planned to participate in this campaign, but my lovely kids gave me this classic Monogram 1/32 scale Sherman Screamin’ Mimi for Father’s Day yesterday, so why not?
I tore right into the thing before I thought to take the picture; the drive sprocket and bogey wheel assemblies on the right are what I have done so far. Otherwise, here is the start picture:
This reissued kit from 1975 kit isn’t exactly today’s state of the art, but it should be fun!

Tim, looks like it will be an enjoyable build even if not up to todays standards. Good choice by the kids
Are you going to do the wiring for the rockets? It was a quite extensive wiring job before launch as I understand it.
Looking forward to see more.

Hmmmm. My first thought was to do a simple out of the box build, but the old Monogram kit is actually not bad at all - so who knows, maybe I'll be inspired to do more as the build progresses!

So much better than getting a tie, Tim! You're going to let them help, right?
Ooh, maybe we should have a campaign devoted to building with the kids/grandkids!

Greetings!
Mark - I just finished up the Revell 1/1200 Bismarck with my 7 year old son. We built it for the Mighty Battleship campaign and we had a BLAST!! It was his first build. He had so much fun that he decided to start his own Stash: Titanic, Prince of Wales, Missouri, and a P-40E.
So, if someone wants to start a Build Buddies Campaign, we're in!
For this Rockets Campaign, I thought I should get an "Approved" before ordering the kit online. I'm planning on building the Mirage 1/350 Type IXC U-511. "How does a U-Boat fit into this campaign," you ask?? Well...
"After training with the 4th U-boat Flotilla, from May 1942, U-511 was used for testing the possibility of launching Wurfkörper 42 30 cm (12 in) artillery rockets from U-boats. In cooperation with the commanding officer's brother Ernst Steinhoff of the Peenemünde Army Research Center, a rack of six rockets were mounted on deck, and were successfully launched while on the surface and while submerged up to a depth of 12 metres (39 ft). However, the rockets were not particularly accurate and the racks on the deck had a negative effect on the U-boat's underwater handling and performance, so the project was abandoned.[2]"

The model comes with the rockets and racks!
I'd love to join the group, but I'll wait for an Official Ruling.
Thank you!
Daniel

I haven't started my build yet for this campaign but I just pulled it out of the stash and realized that this ends at the end of August
So my question is will there be an extension and for how long
If it is a month I will start my project if not I will have to withdraw and move on to the next campaign
