I just didn't care for some of the implications that were being made about me.

No one was making any implications my friend, I was just referring to the truth and the past.

Enjoy the Campaign.

I have no differences at all.

But, back to the Campaign... so we are NOT actually talking about building M113's but a 'what-if' scenario?

Prototypes of what the M113 could be? Or what it should have been? I think an 88 on the chassis is a bit crazy.

The 88 was just an example. I don't see any way that it could be mounted, without the recoil taking out a crew member. Any paper M113s are acceptable. So long as it never saw service.

I've decided to stop enlisting in these campaigns so early. I tend to over-enlist and when a campaign does finally start, some of my motivation has been lost. I'll wait a few months down the road to see where I'm at in terms of time, what kits I have available, or if I'm really motivated.

Matt,
How about using a AFV Club's Chapparel or their Tracked Cargo Carrier as base kits? Both are based on the M113. I could see either as being the base vehicle for quite a few options.

Jeff,
The dialogue is there in the StuG Campaign thread. If you saw it as me wanting an exception, either then or now, that was not my intention. But I agree, let's move on. I enjoy these campaigns and I don't want there to be any issues between us, now or in the future.

Okay Matt, it still sounds good!

I spent about an hour looking at "Prototype M113" on a search and found some really neat stuff!

But, I'll still need to get the kit as I haven't built one in YEARS!

So long as it uses the M113 hull, it's acceptable.

Jeff: I've found several interesting photos, with a simple Google search. It turns out that the military had a ton of these to unload, after Vietnam. Several law enforcement agencies took advantage of this. I've even seen one being used as a firetruck.

Yeah, I think this will be a good one as I have never seen so many prototypes using that chassis.

Too many to choose from.

By popular demand, I have decided to open the campaign to factual variants.

Matt, I'm still not sure if I'll join...still too early for me...but if you're letting in factual variants I probably would do a Turkish Anti-aircraft version sporting a quad 50 mount.

Matt would this include things like the Ypr?

If not I may do a danish M92 PNMK.

OK. I'll be putting this one up for approval. I can't come up with a good ribbon design. Any suggestions?

When do you think it will start?

I'm thinking about a Fitter.

October 1st, of this year. As some people will be scratch building, I want it to run for eight months. So, 10-1-13 to 6-1-13.

Oh. Got the ribbon done.

You mean, 10-1-13 to 6-1-14... right?

And I like the ribbon.

That is what I meant. I went for the compass and square, as I hope more people will be scratch building.

hello, count on me for this campaign. I discovered by chance on the net ,a M113 of SWAT (I did not know that the police were equipped like that). I hope happens to reproduce the decorations .

Steph: Several police departments have M113s. There were quite a few produced and sold to whoever wanted them.

That's 10, by my count. I'll be writing up the proposal.
