Funny how all these manufacturers keep avoiding the T-72!

I like to think that they are just keeping us on the edge of our chairs, and will soon release one. We seem to be possibly getting closer to a T-44 so I'd say a T-72 isn't too far off. (I hope)

We have the potential for 3 new T-72's. From Meng, Zvezda, and Trumpeter. They all have the chassis now they just need the rest of the 72 parts. I'd say with the way things are going Trump will be the first with a new T-72, then Meng and maybe Zvezda but they're really slow at putting new stuff out.

Hopefully the Trumpeter and Meng versions are at least a little different - there seems to be enough variants in the T-90 family for this to happen.

Given Trumpeter's love for variants, I suspect we'll be covered up in T-72s within 12-18 months (like I need more projects!)

Doesn't matter what version they are, all three companies have a T-72 chassis now.

Looking back at Stryker series, Trumpy is your safest bet to make a range of T-72 tanks (BREM ARV anyone?). Zvezda has no particular interest in making timely releases and Meng is more of Chinese Tamiya since they make baseline kit that's sure to sell and let aftermarket companies capitalize on other versions conversions.

I think since Meng have Mr Khlopotov as their advisor a T-72 family will be released sooner or later, at least thats what I wish.

Trumpeter Russian T-90 MBT Cast Turret is that have to have a lot of work done to make it a accurate tank or should I just wait till I can afford the meng kit. At best I'm a novie to beginner in so areas but I've done a lot more and have bet skills in other areas.

The tracks on the Meng kit need a little more time to assemble, but it has much less PE and tiny parts included and judging from the instructions, the Meng will be the easier build.

Sorry about that there is a lot of miss spelling in the post. I used my phone an autocorrect changed the words from my phone. Thank you Thomas looks like I'm going to wait for the meng kit.

Happy modeling
