I'ld like to sign up for this one I've got a Dragon M1a1 with mine plow in the stack so why not make it my next build after aI finish up all these other ones I'm working on. So add Blaster to the list....hey that name will look great on a gunbarrel...too bad I can't use it, but werewolf sounds pretty cool!

Put me down for it as well. I have a Itaerli M1A2 that I'm upgrading to SEP standard from the 4th ID. Plus I have the DML Marine M1A1 and the Tamiya M1A2 coming in the mail from a friend

Hi
I know it sounds crazy but I haven t yet undersood rule 5 as I lack of some english language.
First question : When I start my diorama with the Abrams can I do the diorama on my own or does RULE 5 say that you must at least have another friend of Armorama community that must participate in the same diorama construction than yours and then put his nickname on the model ?
Well if that s the case ,,I mean there is no one in Luxembourg here who is on Armorama and participating in this group build...so I can hardly ask some one in the States and ask if he can come over to Europe and assemble with me the diroama. So that s where I am confused with rule 5 .
Or is rule 5 that you can assemble your diorama on your own (as being in a group requires to get to know people in real who live close to you and who are modelers) and at the end just put your nickname "euro_pro_USA" somewhere on the diorama ?

My understanding of rule 5 was:
Build your model (ask a lot of questions to the group, post pics for the group to see as you go along, and when your (allmost) done, pick a name (from the group) and add it to your model.... (on the ammo cases or on the cws or something like that...)

M1A1HA from trumpeter being pulled by a M88A1 from AFV club... as this being allready over my budget, I don't think I'll be using much AM... (but then again... It's not Februari 14th yet.... )

I've got the Dragon M1A1HA. I've heard some negative reviews with this kit especially with the tracks. I haven't started on it yet but I saw that the track has some individual parts & the ejection pin marks on them. If I decide to replace the tracks what AM maker would be best? Does anybody here got any suggestions?

I think that AFV Club "Big foot" tracks would do the job (item #AFV3512). The links are workable.

Howdy BroAbrams,
Just a thought, but could it be time for a recap (new listing) of the members who've taken the time to 'throw their hat in the ring'?
Also, 'stormfront' had a good point. Would it serve this fledgling 'Campaign' to take steps to move this thread over to the Group Build Forum's?
Or am I jumping the gun?
Just trying to help.

I'd like to offer a suggestion, if I may:
I find the Abrams ID group build really interesting for all modelers interested in the subject. I try to keep up with all the posts on the Abrams and Bradley - but have to admit it gets bewildering to hang on sometimes. Too much information, too many places, too fast...
I think it would be nice for the Abrams efforts and posts to remain inside of a single Group Topic to make it easier for interested modelers to reference now and in the future. Same for the Bradley threads. Sorry if this has already been brought up before...

I am not sure I follow, Gunny, do you mean to have all the Abrams questions and answers in one thread? Where would it be, Armor talk? I think this would be a good idea if I am understanding it right.

Rob
Yeah - a subcategory (called Groups on the Forum Main Page) inside either Armor Talk or the CCC Forum - like the Twilight: 2000 category inside of the CCC Forum. It keeps all those posts and threads together in one place.
There's so much good talk and information going on concerning the Abrams and Bradley, it would be a shame not to gather them all into one Forum Topic. I was actually thinking of asking Jim to create an Abrams MBT Topic inside of Armor Talk (perhaps a Bradley one too) where all the current threads could be moved into. New threads could be started from there, keep 'em all in the same area, and make it easier for newcomers to the Site to find in the future.
You know, it seems more members here talk about the Abrams than Tigers or Panthers...
Ain't it grand!
Gunnie

This is now officially a Campaign (Mission type) group build and can be accessed in the Campaigns area. There is also a group in the CCC for it.
I wasn't sure of the dates so I will need that info to update the listing.
Cheers,
Jim
