Hi Sascha,
nice one. Now you can spend loads on AM stuff as you have saved the price of the kit. Hope your wife doesn't see this

Welcome Scott, are you going Trumpeter or Bronco ?
I have just built the Trumpeter kit and it's great, easy fast build with only a couple of fit issues that are easily remedied.

That's a good kit. I'm finishing one long time WIP kit for Stalin's armor campaign. Either straigh from box or correcting some minor issues listed on Neil Stoke's great website, it's easy build.

Another KV campaign? Oohh..., so attempting because of subject and that I have many KV kits on stash. Timeperiod is just so and so because I have many campaigns going on at same time. I'll have to see how I progress with other campaigns and maybe enlist later..

A warm welcome to Fabian, Kimmo and Andy into the Kollective Volunteers campaign .
Andy a nice choice there, easy fast builds those Trumpeter kits
Fabian you do not need to be an expert on russian armour, you can get all the info you need here, with some help from the other campaigners. Also you could just make the KV 2 into a Wehrmacht version . Check the "waste not want not, Unter falscher Flagge campaign" there are one or two being built there also.
Kimmo this is the "KV tank Campaign" the others are the "Trumpeter", "Stalins Armour" and the "waste not want not" campaign. None of which should be taken as KV only campaigns, although a lot are being built there . These are just wider spread showing other vehicles also .
Jeff and Greg no offense meant here guys and I sure don't want to steal possible builds from your campaigns

I will have to think about what version or versions to do. I have a nice stack of trumpeter kits to pick from, and an equally nice selection of aftermarket goodies to go with them. And who knows, those Trumpy guys may come out with something new between now & the start.

Well, I was thinking of doing something different, an other color in between all the panzergau and dunkelgelb
And... I got this figure kit in my stash:
guess what you can make out of these two kits

I just ordered the detail set for the KV-1B. I have ruined much PE and AM stuff in the past but am going to give it another go as an after thought can anyone recommend any tools for use with PE to help with the bending ? that seems to be where I destroy most of it.

Sascha there are loads of folding and bending tools out there,
but I have no idea what the best is. I always try to avoid etch as I hate the stuff.
O.k. you volunteers, here's a test shot of a possible award:
large scale:
KV 2 Tank with the Kirov Plant embleme
and the same again but downsized:
Let me know what you think, and if anyone has an any other ideas then lets see them
The banner is still to be made, if someone wants to do one then go for it

Sal, thanks my friend I have just realised that this has to be Part 2 . I don't know why I didn't realise this as Kimmo
mentioned it earlier in the thread.
@ Kimmo next time please tell me straight that I have screwed up , I'll take no offense whatsoever
So here's the award again but now called Pt. 2
shrunk:
Let me know what you all think, and the banner still has to be which is open to all. That is if anyone feels like making one

oh right.... i´m in here too
We´re strating March 1st, and I´m starting holydays on march 1st, too.... how cool is that
Did some research on th topic and found my reference pic:
25.7.´41, near Rasyenya
This is KV stopped the 6 PD. for two days, destroying several AT guns and trucks, until it was heavily dammaged and finaly destroyed by engineers, AT guns and tanks.

Hi Sal.
After quick googleing, I didn't found any photo, that would show any camo pattern than plain, boring green.. But it wouldn't harm anyone, if you paint it into camo?

Hey Kimmo thanks for the help
I found this KV-85 with white wall highlights
I did a T-34 with the white highlights and enjoyed it so may do this
