Which update set are you using?

Is this the RM Leopard C2 set from several years ago....RMA 35202?

Nice work Miloslav on the anti-slip.

You should consider creating new exhaust grills as an update set for the Meng version...so the openings can be seen through like the Italeri/Revell-Germany versions.

I spoke too soon...looks like PSM has this covered off in an upcoming release.

RMA 35269 Update set for TAKOM Leopard C2 MEXAS
Kit includes: Correct parts fo combat version, two crew figures, cooler boxes, new antenna mounts, bottles, PE parts & prints.

Very nice Miloslav. There was debate as to the correct size of the chiller box. Did you adjust the size of the PE parts in your new set?

I'll edit dimensions, but nobody has published dimensions originíl box. Just a speculation can not work.

Actual dimensions seem to be elusive but comparisons of available parts on these links should assist...

OK. Takom stowage box is 28 mm long,
MLM stowage box is 27 mm long. RM cover is 24.5 mm long. This means that the MLM kit is absolutely accurate, for this form could be 1mm longer. I did PE parts for MLM and adjusting it for TAKOM. As it has PSM do not know, but that's their problem, length 29 mm (PSM is wrong).

See, some simple math was effective. Modellers will have to choose the best option...plus the fact that the chiller box is only used with the thermal covers in place, so not applicable for the Takom kit, but good for the Trackjam or PSM conversions.

Make a thermal cover nothing so difficult for TAKOM. I'll do it some structure step by step, because I plan to definitely at least one MEXAS.

Just a question, I noticed you added anti-skid to the top of the turret and MEXAS armor. But looking at this picture, I don't seem to make out that the anti-skid has been applied. How many C2's had the anti-skid applied? And was it applied in the field or prior to deployment?

The anti-skid on the MEXAS is factory applied.

It is actually applied on individual panels that attach to the top of the individual modules. The panels cover the top of the MEXAS modules and cover the small gap between the top to the MEXAS and the turret sides.

It would seem that it is a very fine anti-skid, as in the image when fully blown up it is undetectable. I also have the DVD from Anthony, and when looking at the images I really don't see the antiskid.

Thus to represent it in 1/35, it would almost be just like paint.

The turret has a layer of anti skid, and there are movable plates on top of the MEXAS blocks, held on by bolts in the center of the plates. These plates have a fine layer of anti skid applied to them.

I'd say the texture is pretty consistent with what is on the turret roof. Miloslav's work on his C2 MEXAS looks accurate.
