Quick question for this campaign, would a tank that has been fitted with a mine protection kit allowed? I'm thinking of building a Leopard 2A6M CAN updated for the Afghan mission.
Thanks,
Christian
That does not fit the build. The build is for MRAPs and that is just a tank with a mineplow on it.
I didn't make a reference to a mineplow but thank you for your answer.
Cheers,
Christian
Misread mine protection kit as mineplow, but my answer remains the same. At the end of the day you have a tank with armour added on. This group build is for the dedicated MRAP or V hulled vehicles which became prominent in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Definitely in, tentatively with either the Panda 4x4 Cougar or Kinetic Maxx Pro; still wary of starting the Cougar, oh well I have time. The Panda kit doesn't fit into the Fallujah project, so it's not going anywhere either way.

I'm in, just not ure which one I'll do yet. Might wait a while longer to see if the redesigned M-ATV from Kinetic makes an appearence.
Would the Airfix 1/48 Jackal & Coyote count? They do have the armoured V shaped hull....

Is M1117 a MRAP? I think it is a upgraded APC without an armoured V shaped hull.
What do you think?

I think the M1117 is a MRAP, it was part of the MRAP program. The M1117 is the textron Commando advanced, the Canadian forces use the Commando Elite, and I believe it is a MRAP.

An Australian Bushmaster would also qualify wouldn't it ?

I like it. I think it is the best possible ribbon we can have.

The Bushmaster is a Cat II MRAP. So you're good to go.

I'm in. M-ATV is in my stash. Maxx-Pro and Cougar are on the way. The decision is difficult.
Best
