Any ideas for the camo/paint scheme for the BMP-2? I was thinking maybe a combat scene in Chechnya? The model will be OOTB With maybe some combat damage. Any ideas/suggestions?

You could potentially do a Ukraine scenario. With either a rebel BMP or Ukrainian one.

Hi;

Be aware that its Not 1/35, it is closer too 1/32nd !
The kit was one of DMLs early Soviet Line of Vehicles and Left A Lot to be Desired. IMHO its o.k. for A OOB but thats about all, it would be A great kit too Practice your Scratch building or adding the Extra Details that the kit Lacks.

GOOD LUCK; MIKE.

Given the wide variety of uniforms seen in the Ukrainian conflict it would guess that the uniforms of the figures have likely been used or seen.

You could have the BMP as a Ukrainian one hit by a rebel RPG, with the rebel soldiers escaping.

Just a thought.

The video at this link shows a mix of German, British, and other NATO uniform parts in use in the Ukraine. Hope this helps. All the best!

Nice paint job so far. I didn't notice it before but you haven't removed the MG port that Dragon mistakenly molded on the right engine side. Try to hide it with some rag or tarp.

You are right as always Olivier. I think I will correct it rather than cover it. Thanks

It is not perfect, but it is fixed. It you didn't know about it you would probably not be able to tell.

Great work Marcos. You fixed the port pretty well and the figures poses are convincing.

Thank you olivier. Now my next decision is whether the diorama base is a simple country road or a more complex city scene. I am just planning on using the 5 figures that I now have: the three tankers, and the two special forces; one jumping off of the BMP, and the other running behind the incapacitated BMP looking for cover. That should make a pretty dramatic scene.

A country road may better tie in with the muddy weathering on the BMP?

I'd go for a hypothetical Cold War scenario in Central Germany. Have a squad of US infantry from the 1980's approaching quickly for the kill!
