I'm not much of a fan of the T-14 but looking at this build makes me more interested with this tank.

tracks are most demanding part of that kit. each has separate guide horn and while they are dimension-wise similar to T-90 tracks they have two rubber pads which are bolted to the metal part of the track. And they are not T-80 either. So if you want metal tracks for that beast let's hope Master club will make them similar to chieftain tracks with separate rubber pads...

Ok, the assembly reminded me of "good" old Dragon's tracks because they have 5 connectors to the sprue and horn has 2!

moreover, you have to clean the mold line on the side without disturbing the pins detail...

but they look fine overall when assembled (I put a mark to remember which side is what)

ok guys, I finished the assembly of this kit. Overall I really like it, but I wish the plastic quality was better. The fit is OK, the detail level is good and it doesn't require excessive work.

I will write a more detailed review for main page later and here are the pictures of the finished piece. Please keep in mind that skirts, running gear and bar armour are dryfitted.

I also have to install PE mesh on the basket.... I am our of CA right now.

Hi;

Really Nice Clean Build, Good Job !! I like this Takom also, and I can't wait to compare it too the Panda offering.
Its really going to be Interesting to See just how many T-14 will be offered by the other companies, and I can see Trumpeter & Ming giving it A Shot !! Can't wait too see how you paint your T-14.--Keep up the Good Work !!

Very nice build, have you decided on a color scheme yet?
When I was reading my instruction book I noticed that they say the vehicle has a co-axial MG as well as the remote weapon but I don't see it in the illustrations and I don't see an opening for it in the mantlet or turret front face....

thanks guys.

Steve, I actually like the parade vehicle scheme. As for co-ax I think it is a mistake. There is no co-ax MG as far as I know.

Btw, UVZ (manufacturer of T-14) made a calendar with some nice pics.

Looking really good. To be honest, I didn't like the look of this tank as much as T-15, but your blog is making me change my mind. Really cool design.

Very nice presentation and great photos, thanks!

Hi;

"Yes" There is a place for the Co-ax, and if you look at the right front quadrant on the pig snount you can see the slit opening. It is not fitted on any of the parade vehicles, but You can see the opening. There is A Video showing the T-14 during Fireing Trials and it shows the machine gun fitted.

thanks,guys.

I agree, it was rather controversial with all politics, parade and rest of the stuff. But it is an interesting design. Very modern and unique. Cool to see it in plastic in a very short time since show up to the public.

T-15 is on the waiting list for me

Looks fantastic - I have one of these in the mail coming to me.
I was wondering what color scheme you plan to do...

Does Tamiya or Model Master Enamels have a good match for the Green or "Desert Schemes"? I'd rather not be looking around for the MiG colors...

I want to do that dark green as on parade vehicles or those test vehicles on video I posted above.

Haven't thought about paint yet, but I am sure you can match it to Tamiya or Vallejo.
