Hi guys,
this is a recent Takom kit for T-14 Armata that I am building for Armorama reviews.

The box is big, packed with sprues and the parts look good upon inspection. I like that the sprues are packed into resealable bags and colour profiles together with manual on a good quality paper.
What I don't like is that you have to be really careful when removing parts from sprues - if you cut too close to the part right away you can get unpleasant marks...

ok roll on.

Lower hull looks good, nice surface detail. But I can't comment on the accuracy yet. Need to check references later...

Upper hull part dry fitted.

turret upper half

Here I installed one wall with a hatch (for shells?) to the lower turret part

Side skirts

Manual

wheels. you can see the marks that I meant.

Hi;

The only thing that concern's me is the Hull Underneath; as it seems to me that there should be the Engine inspection plates, the Axels that run the width and A Crew escape hatch that would be on Normal vehicles like the T-80s & T-90s !! I know some will say "Who Cares' !!; But there are People Who will Wonder. And I have too Wait until X-mas morning to Hug my T-14.

CHEERS; MIKE.

Really straight forward and rather easy build. Makes for an impressive model. Still think the turret will be changed when these actually go in service, but model wise, spiffy. Def get one. Big tank too, larger than I expected. Already painted mine, decals and tracks next though.

Have fun with yours, hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Agree with you. But I think this was not possible.

Hello guys does anybody knows if the tracks of armata are same as T-90's. I am asking this because I didn't like the tracks in the kit and Im looking for metal or better constructed workable tracks (without glueing)

On looking at the parade pics, they seem to be the same as the T90 but have the rubber pads installed.

I had the same issue and was lucky to have a set of Meng T90 tracks that do in fact have the rubber pads as optional. I'm sure by now there are aftermarket T90 tracks with pads you can get. Best of luck.

Hi;

No ! The Tracks are the T-80 type, altho there are other tracks that you could use, Fruil, Trumpy, and SP-Design make T-80 sets.

What's the key difference between the 2, they look the same in so many ways?

Hi;

The Tracks are normally universal, its the Drive Sproket that drives the track which makes the difference. When the tracks have the Pads fitted its hard to determin which track they are, and just about the only way you can tell is by looking at the End Connectors such as the RMSH !

They are not t-90 type for sure.
But they have similar dimensions.
There will be a set from masterclub as far as I know.

I am back on track

it is important to have even suspension so for that purpose I first inserted all parts into hull, added some glue and slightly pressed it so that it touches the surface in all necessary points. Of course you need even surface for that

started on the turret as well. lower part has complex configuration.

barrel is made of 2 halves and thanks to the configuration the joint is not seen.

polycaps seen on the pic above would allow some minor elevation when the barrel would be installed inside the mantlet.

Rear end of the hull. Cables are decent, but of course metal would have beenbetter here.

upper turret half is getting details here and there as well.

I will try to match the halves during the weekend.

Hi Roman;

Nice Start on your T-14, I will follow your progress with Great Interest, as I have not started mine as of yet. All of my own research has turned up nothing on the underside of the Hull, but I am really Happy with the Quality of the kit. --Keep Up The Good Work !!

thanks, Mike.

Most of the time we don't turn models upside down so I don't really care about bottom. We can wait for Panda's T-15

Hi;

I am very interested in seeing how Pandas T-14 compares with the Takom kit. IMHO its going too have to go A Long way to compare with the Quality of Takoms kits plastic.
Whats Funny is; When looking at Model Collects 1/72 offering it has Details underneath ! I know some will not really care, but there are others who will, and I am thinking about trying to add the missing details.
