Thanks for kind words, Colin, Jesper.
I've since removed the rear right grille as I see it was mounted wonky. I broke it in the process, but will replace it with a spare I have, and I hope at the right angle this time...
Cheers
Matthew

Good day lads,
do you mind if I join with Tamiya's Mazda RX-7?
That's gonna be an out of comfort build for me.
This will be my second attempt on this kit as I ruined first last year... I only hope it won't be my modelling nemesis
Cheers,
Radek

Hi Everybody
Picked up a 1/35 Universal Carrier at the LHS yesterday for this campaign.
Started to build it last night, enjoying the build so far as it has been going together effortlessly.
I'm planning to use the Canadian Army decals included in the kit to keep with my growing Canadian military theme in my collection.

Ron,
The box looks like a relatively new print of that kit so this warning may be unnecessary. I recently built one of the original releases of that kit, and upon opening I found the tracks to be hopelessly kinked. They didn't seem to like my efforts at straightening them and instead opted to reproduce via mitosis (i.e., they split into smaller pieces).
The rest of it goes together reasonably well (Tamiya, after all!), although I converted mine to a Mk III airborne version from MARKET GARDEN.
Good luck!

Hi Everybody
I got a lot of work done on my carrier. I have the body together and was able to put a primer coat on it tonight.
Mark, the date on my kit is 1994. The kit goes together really well and even the minor goof ups that I made are unnoticeable. The tracks appear to be in good shape and say that they can be glued with regular model plastic cement, I have my doubts but I'll see soon.
Here are a couple of pics.
Thank for looking

Jumping in as a late start to this campaign. Going to join in with this fellow.
Had him a while and will eventually hook him up in a dio with my QF 25pdr gun.
Going to prep it this weekend with some aftermarket bits and if I am lucky get it primed.
As it's a fairly simple kit, try to do it as a bit of a speed build on Tuesday when I have the house to myself.

Since I had some tradies fixing up the house today,I got to spend a bit of time on this fellow.
So I pulled out the soldering iron and did some work with the Eduard photo etch set, and put a few of the smaller plastic bits like diffs and engine together.
Interior floor plates down. Managed to put the photoetch pedals on upside down but with some judicious manipulation they kind of look right.
Some form of bumper.

No idea. Only dates I can find on the kit are 1974 on the box, and 1976 on the English instructions.

Little update here, got the primer down and pre-shading plus started rusting the muffler and painting the tracks. Hope to try out the Hataka French Camo set this weekend.

Jon,
The weathering on your Citroen looks perfect--spot on! If I may suggest, you might want to add a bit of weathering to the markings. To me, they look a bit pristine to be on such a weather-beaten vehicle.

Thanks Mark, great advice, I will tone it down some. It's amazing you can stare at something but not see it...

Hi everyone! Been a while since I had a chance to update. Progress has been slow but I have made some. Beautiful builds being done. That Citroen is beautiful. I hope to have skills like that some day. Please offer critiques as you see them.

Wow, beautiful work everyone, love that Citroen! A little bit of progress on my Kanonenwagen, interior is pretty much done & ready to button up, just thinking about some wiring & headphones for the radio.

@ Bryan. Really liking all the stowage on your Supersherman.
@ Colin. The subtle weathering in the interior of your Kanonenwagon looks ace.
Lots of great builds here besides!
Cheers
