I'm getting there!
Hoping to wrap this one up soon. I just need to find a paint job I can do without an airbrush, since I'm still setting up the model room in the new house.
I've been all around the internet trying to find an interesting paint job... especially from a Marder that has an identifiable unit.
If anyone has photo suggestions, I'd be happy to see them!

Any extension is most welcome John. Do you mean another 2 weeks beyond 31 Oct?

I was thinking this would end on 30 Set... nevermind.
Mid Oct there will be a better picture of who needs an extension to wrap up the build.

At 1st I was under the impression that this ended on September 30 but the campaign page says October 31.
I should be finished by the end of October haven't had much bench time lately

Thank you for the extension until end of October. This is good news.
I primed the T54 mod. 1949 this weekend and laid down some Vallejo model air Russian Green, attempting a little colour modulation. The Friul tracks are now a rather bright and shiny metallic grey. Lots more work to do, but confident I'll finish. Photos coming soon, I hope.
Cheers
Matthew

Hello lads,
Slowly, but steady forward
Mazda RX-7 takes some more shape on interior.
I finished dashboard and mid-panel with gearbox lever and handbrake.
Next - the worst nightmare to me so far --> masking and painting windows. Good I have leftover from kit I screwed last year... I have additional 'live' left
Some pics of finished cockipt (please let me know if you have any issues seeing images - posting via Google+).
Cheers,
Radek

Chris,
Real nice Char B1! I like the camo scheme and you executed it nicely. Good job.
Thanks,

That Char B is just awesome! You must be crosseyed after painting all of those thin black lines, very impressive.

Thanks Fellas for the kind words!
I learned a lot on this one and look forward to building another or maybe a Soumua.

Learned a bit of simple rust weathering so decided not to go for the whitewash camo after all. That'll do for this one.

Congrats on your finish Sal!
Two weeks to go and here's where I'm at. I Used a rattle can for the sandy base coat. Did the wash on the lower hull / running gear so I can mount the rubber band tracks, weather and finish before marrying the lower and upper hulls.
I typically stretch the rubber bands prior to mounting, but I guess I got a bit far on one of the runs this time. Staple wires to the rescue, only to have another issue on the connection points where the ends meet. Glued the tracks on the idler -- it has held on so far.
I then went on to brush paint various shades of the base color on selected areas, panels.
Next up would be an overall wash for the upper hull and turret.
Cheers,
Tat
