I was thinking about building one of the later Modelcollect MAZ-based trucks in 1/72 scale. Would something like the S-300 or the Smerch qualify?
Thanks!
A towable component is a must, so i'm afraid Scud, Smerch, Bereg etc', do not fit the description.

Perhaps a foolish question;
Would building the tractor
AND trailer be required to compete? With the MAZ, HEMTT, HET and other tractors being sold separately, is completing the towed load a requirement?
Personally I have more interest in the towing vehicle than the equipment it towed.

Yes. As mentioned in the previous post, a towable component is a
MUST.
Guys, I believe we have the required number of people, so I'm going to submit it for approval...

Just so I'm clear, you're allowing kits that are partially built as long as not in primer?
So, can we get started on our builds early?

Hhmm...that's a good question!
When I formulated that rule, I was referring to "shelf queens", but I see there's more than one way to interpret that sentence. If you want to start your build early, it's acceptable.

I have a Zvezda Gaz-AAA and Miniart Soviet Field Kitchen that I might do for the The Other Guys Campaign. I have an ICM ZiL-131 I might do for that one instead....and do the Gaz and Kitchen kits for this one.
For the sake of thinking outside of the box...what about an aerosan towing ski troops?

Nope
must have wheels to qualify as a truck. At least two like the half-track. Btw, Gaz AAA and field kitchen is a great combo!

Okay thanks. I didn't know the tow vehicle had to be a truck truck. I thought more along the lines of a tow vehicle and a towed thingy. No biggie...I will probably do the Gaz-AAA and Field Kitchen combination.

Some small trailer inspiration:
Trailer converted from Blitz truck.
Scratch built Generator Trailer . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Cook trailer converted from wagon wheels to rubber tires.
Been doing a lot of little trailers down through the years - they're some of my favorites.

I am in. I have a Revell of Germany Faun SLT-50 Elefant and trailer kit to build. Dies it need a load as well as the kit includes a Fennek armoured scout car.
Modelling is something we never perfect. We should never quit learning new tricks and be willing to share what we have learned on our own.

That could be an entirely new campaign itself. After this campaign is complete, we could create a new one, Truck/Trailer loads.

I would love to join ....
( I got caught short on the 500+ campaign )
so I'm asking before I start building..
Is it a requirement of this campaign,
to paint the finished build participating model?
- Un-started -
I have a MAZ with a T-90a,
and
a M170 with a M1129-(add engine and slat)
to bring to the table.

Darrell, welcome aboard! While it would certainly be nice to see a load on the trailer, it is
not a must.

Yep, it is required to finish the build (including painting) in order to receive the campaign ribbon.
Well, we've seen some US and German trailers, how about some Soviet ones?

Hi, everyone
I didn’t build a 1:72 kit since...well, so many winters. I was planning the Sd.Kfz. 9 with the Sd. Ah. 116 tank transporter from Trumpeter, but Tat will be doing that one.
I really want a deviation from 1:35 and WWII German amour, so this one will fit the bill.
Just tell me if it’s ok for the campaign. I spotted one at a hobby shop and it rang all the alarms!
Esci reboxing by Italeri. Ah! Those Esci days…
Cheers.
