Looking good. From the look of the decals, it appears to have a cab interior since there are decals for the fire control computer, instrument panel, and interior placards. I hope the US version follows closely after it.

And what's wrong with M270A1 version of the Dragon? I do not know, I would still like to see the english TES version with the grid armor.

The fit isn't the greatest,it lacks the anti skid texture on it and the detail is lacking in some places. Its a roughly 15-20 year old kit.

From some of the comments for the latest rerelease I've seen on this site, it seems the injection molds are worn out resulting in a dirty casting that's annoying to clean up into a workable state.

Then let's hope that the Trumpeter kit addresses all the identified short-comings of the Dragon kit that, at a glance, had seemed quite nice. I agree that the gris armour would be really cool on such a beast.

Decals need to be altered. Instead of FUER SEILPRUEFZWECKE, it should read FÜR SEILPRÜFZWECKE. Cut out the letter E and add two dots above the letter U.

Looking really good. I like how they molded the LLM box and some other boxes w/their sides via slide-molding. Makes it much easier to get square boxes. Can't wait for the US version.

Biggest thing at a quick glance are the tracks are different.

The differences are minor and mainly cosmetic. The German version (probably the other European versions too) uses different Diehl tracks and sprockets and has the side skirts. Internal radios and intercom systems I believe are different too. Other than that they are pretty much the same.

One difference is the modified exhaust system. German MLRS/MARS blow the gases skyward while original MLRS blow downward. Diehl tracks, side skirts, mounts for warning signs next to headlights, GPS dome on MARS 2, handrail for VC. Also a special German feature is teh ability to fire leftover 110 mm rockets from LARS 2 in modified rocket pods.

US M270A1 also has the handrail for the TC (Track Commander). US calls them TCs.

Anti slip on cab roof as well.

...in my hobby shop...
That is the issue. You can get it on-line from Asian suppliers for about $70 USD plus shipping, which is pretty reasonable, depending on where you are and how quickly you want it. Local hobby shops have gone nuts on their pricing. I want to support them, but can't justify the mark-ups they are charging. I know they have to so they can stay in business, but still can't justify it to myself. I'll support them by buying supplies and small accessory sets, but I usually buy models on-line.

Yes I know, but compared to some of the other Trumpeter new stuff as well, the price just didn't really compare................the Scud was the same price in the same shop.
Do you think they will bring out a U.S version soon........anybody in the know........know

According to their 2017 catalog, they are supposed to have a US M270A1 and the M4C2V (also based on the MLRS chassis). I think there was also a British M270 in their 2017 catalog as well.

Over 800 parts, costs 82:50 Euros (about US $ 86.50 or AUD 114) at Modellbau König. This comes out at a little more than 10 Euro-cents per part which isn't so bad.
MBK has it priced between the Mi-17 helicopter and the BM-30 Smerch kits.
It is not a cheap kit but considering all the parts I would still say that it is value for money.

Considering Meng priced their M2A3 Bradley at £49.99 back in 2014 which was a skimilar vehicle with a roughly equal amnount of interior details, I would find Trumpeter's pricing for this kit to be acceptable 3 years on.
