You can go to the Campaign Central Forum, select a campaign that you want to jump into, enlist (join in), read the rules & reg, do your build & submit photos showing your build before the deadline & if you get to do all this you'll have the change to get a campaign ribbon just like what is shown in this thread.

Cameraderie really. The way they work here is modelers will choose a kit to build that fits the theme of the campaign (also called a group build). For instance, in this campaign you need to choose a wheeled vehicle that has a primary purpose of transporting men or materiel.

Once you decided to join, click on the campaigns link to the left and follow the links to the appropriate page to "enlist". Completion of the campaign is not a requirement, but encouraged. There is a journal to upload entries of the kit you are building and even a place to upload photos of your kit in-progress.

Once you complete your kit, there is an area to upload your completed kit photos as proof of completion. When the end date comes, the campaign leader tallies up the finishers and awards them the campaign medal. This medal then appears on your profile page. Of course, sometimes it takes a while for the awards to be given.

How well will all the detail (the small stars, etc.) come out when the image is shrunk down to the size of the other campaign ribbons?

Thanks Roo....
I knew you'd have something up your sleeve...lol.

Randy...you are right to bring it up re: size. Yes some detail will become vague with a big reduction, but if you do them too simple they just look flat. It's sort of a "the sum is greater than the total number of parts" situation. I've done one a wee bit smaller to check it out.
Besides I wouldn't know how to do them any other way...lol.

Cheers
Peter

Hi Roo again...
you wouldn't have a dead straight side profile of the GMC CCKW?

Cheers

Howdy flitzer,

As usual, supremely good work! I especially like the shiny Roo at the top (I don't suppose you could superimpose our good Mr. Roo's mug on the face of the kangeroo...could you?....nah, just kidding).
For what it's worth, you get my vote!

to ShermiesRule: Where did you get this cool banner?

Which brings up (what I think) is a good question.....
For those of us participating in multiple Campaigns, is it possible to display each Campaign banner on top of one another? Or would that not be a good idea??

So, I suppose the question is; Can I place multiple Campaign banners in my Signature box?
I think I'll give this a try..............

Tread.

{EDIT} Nope...didn't work. The 'Signature Box' seems to only like one entry... ;-(

Faust designed that banner for any one to use however as I had already asked Peter to design one I have chosen to wait until that one comes out so that people have a choise of two to choose from. Shermies jumped the gun a little adding it to his signature line.

I mean no disrespect to Faust for putting his banner up as he has (once again) done an excellent Job and I thank him for it.

What I am thinking now on this is that Robs' depicts an American and a german truck. Hopefully Peters will contain Commonwealth trucks, and then maybe one with a russian and British truck. This way folk can add the banner depicting what countries truck they are doing if they wish to.

Just a thought from me . So what do you folk think out there?

Now that Roo, as campaign leader, has had his say, I'll jump in.
I'll change to a MoveIt! banner when Overlord has finished, but would prefer one with a Brit/Commonwealth theme.
The ribbon proposal is fine, but shouldn't it have a truck on it?

No problems mate as I said we may have a couple to give all good people a choise. But like Dave Cox I too would prefer to see a commonwealth truck included.

so please leave it in your signature line as it has grown on me and I like to see it up and running.

thanks
