Hi Paul,
excellent work mate...I really like it...except for the bright green background Every time I hear a bus go by or a Jacobs brake kick in, it takes me back to the times I was sitting in the back of a grizzly sweating my &$$#off because the CSM wouldn't let the Company open the sky lights. AHHH those were the daze...Great build bud.
Cheers,
Bryan

Hi Paul,

A very nice build.
It's a pity to see that a Hobby Fan kit needs so much work. Did you make drawings of the parts you made?

Can it be that there were several types of cranes used on the Husky and Bison? I saw photos that didn't look like the crane you build.

Gr,
Marcel

Thanks for the comments chaps. Marcell, at least Hobby Fan does not market their kit as a Husky. The crane on a Bison is not the same as the one on the Husky and there is now a new version of the Bison ARV with a new crane. No shortage of madelling subjects.

Excellent job Paul. I just wish I had the patience for all that scratchbuilding.

Thanks for the comment. It wasn't all that hard. I just do a couple hours every Friday night and it gets done. By the way the hydraulic lines and fittings are Detail Master products for 1:24 car engines. Very useful for those doing the upcoming Recovery Vehicle build.

Paul I think its a great piece of work - i saw the IP shots and know how much s/b was required to bring it up to Husky specs. If you are travelling through NB, bring the Husky along and we can take some photos that will do it justice.

I'll bet you get in much less trouble working on kits than if you went to happy hour at the mess.

does the weekend also start on thursday? Maybe not at Pet, but I wouldn't put it past 101 Col By or Bldg 155.

Do I ever miss those nickle beer nights at the Kyrenia and Coriano clubs.

Bldg 155 is history. We have new digs in Toronto. The problem is the weekend starts on Firday and many of our members are on imposed restriction from elsewhere. Naturally the happy hours on Thursday are pretty quiet. Now Castle Greyskull-on-the-Rideau is another matter. By the way, what takes a Patricia to the Lone Star State?

Glad to hear about 155....I REALLY hated that place. I spent most of my time in the Constitution Bldg on the 7th floor, but had to deal with the blue jobs at 155 on a regular basis. I ended up down here after I married a Texas gal 5 years ago and moved down here. Probably coming home in a while....she wants to live in sodom-on-the-rideau for some unknown reason.

Hope to see you at a CapCon or Ajax. Ottawa IPMS is going strong. Really big concentration of armour there.

Went to a CAPCON many snows ago at the Holiday Inn, Place de Ville, the focus was on Land Rovers, and I was impressed back then......now with resin, PE and indy links I can just imagine what's on show.

Is Hobby House still in operation down in Vanier? I used to live there on weekends..spent many a paycheck there.
