Yeah, If i could I really would. Hes ontop of a mound and the surface is rock hard. So it wasnt very easy to put him in even with the stick. I was going to photoshop it to him look more weighted down but I didnt want any of you guys to think I cheated on this or anything. BTW: Can you photoshop your figure at all to blend in anything?

I don't think photo-shopping would be the way to go Harrison...
BUT you might try building up a little more ground work up to the figures boots, and then adding a little snow where they meet. Maybe even a few trampled down snowy foot prints would add to the visual impact. Other than that you did a fine job.
Looks like it going to be a tough one folks.......

It said in the rules for AGE #2 that a base would not affect the judgement of your entry. So I didnt really focus on the groundwork very much. But I will add some snow around his feet. I also didnt want to cover up any of my figure with snow because I want to show off his whole body without unnecessary distractions. But I will work on the ground work a little more. Thanks guys for the awesome comments and I agree it will be a tough competition.

Harrison, let me explain why I suggested you fix up the ground work and snow, so you will understand it for future projects.
1. No one is judging your ground work.
2. Your post clearly states "Please comment on this and tell me what I could do different next time."
3. Although you have done an excellent figure, when looking at the photo, the first thing the eye sees is the figure being suspended in air, not supported by the ground. THIS DISTRACTS the viewers eyes from the figure. So some questions you need to ask yourself.... "do I want the viewers to look at my figure, or be distracted from it?" "Does my composition, execution, and presentation, enhance the figure, or are there elements that lead the viewers eyes from the figure, instead of leading the viewers eyes towards the figure?"

I don't think the feet are a problem. I didn't even notcie until someone mentioned it. I still think the figure is done well enough to stand on it's own. The base is just extra. I'd leave it. Spend that extra time hanging out with your pretty girlfriend

Watcha talkin' bout Alan? :-)
Harrison, you did a wonderful job on the figure and the camo is most excellent! I would have to agree with Dave and John on the feet though. It was the first thing I saw after scanning the figure. All in all though, great work! You really show that the hobby has no age boundaries as far as skill goes. Just stick with it and by the time you are old like Dave :-) :-) you will be painting figures and models for box covers and magazines! If you can resist the temptations that all of us inevitably allowed to come between us and modelling at your age or thereabouts that is!

Ciao Harrison,
Great job overall! I really like the camo. My only negative would be the guy's upper lip. You might want to tone it down a little. Beautiful job!
Ciao for now

Now all I need to do is find time to get home and work on mine.
Personally, I didn't even notice the feet either. To me, the upper body of the figure is what I look at first. Either way, great job and best of luck.

Ok, just to make sure, but how do I officially submitt an entry? Do I just make a thread like I did here, or do I have to PM the leader of the campaign or what? Thanks in advance.

Eventually there will be an AGE2 gallery opened. You will need to transfer your pic into that AGE2 gallery.
