Looing good Grumpy, but do the trailer wheels look tipped out slightly?

I've seen a hell of a lot of dual wheel units with wobby, uneven wheels in my life...... follow a few on route 80, and count how many are perfectly straight. Not just on trailers, but tractors and straight jobs also.

Let me premis this by saying I am not being critical or argumentative, just discussing the point - playing the devils advocate so to speak.

I agree wheels are not straight in the 1/1 world. But the amount of non-staightness that is noticable translated in to the the 1/35th scale world not be noticable. Thus if we work backwards, the amount that you show, translated to 1/1 would cause one hell of a pile up on Rt 80!

Just my opionion of course, as I know zero about how much punishment a trailer can take if the wheels are significantly out of alignment.

LOL...... :-) :-) :-) :-) Is this the point I take the hammer and smash it, and swear I'm never posting again...... :-) :-) :-) :-)
Just joking John.......
Actually the wheels are a lot straighter than they appear in the photos..... The first batch they were held on with blue tack, so weren't really attached yet, the second set, I can barely see the wheels, but in real life, they really appear straighter than the first set of photos. (at least to my old eyes) Could be the camera angle,, but when I finish up, and I post the final photos, I'll try to set the tripod up to the get a better straight on view.
In all actuality, the front wheels are turned, and probably have the wrong toe-in, and there is a little warpage to the tractor frame.... to late now......LOL

I guess we can let the wheel wobble go on yours Dave with blue tack, but the real ones, I've seen some of them disk they make now that one little bump on a curb and they are bent.

Either that or they use Dayton rims and don't spend the time tightening them up straight, or it could be #3 the recapper never put the cap on straight, and it makes it look like the tire is wobbling, I've seen that to.

I've seen them put the cap on so crocked, I thought they were going to miss the tire.
