Eric, stupid question #1. Kit does not have to be a vignette, just if you do a lone figure? I normally do not build bases for the Braille armor.

Rob, rereading my phrase, I believe a few more words were required.
The Vignette idea is solely for the figure builders, so it is possible for them to enter something as well.
I recently saw a Train station laid out in HO scale and a battle laid out in 1/72 scale, both were fantastic! Thus I am trying to broaden my views on small-scale figures.
I personally don’t possess the patience to lay out a complex dio, let alone the skill to correctly paint the figures!

I think i have some 15 unstarted kits.. so count me in aswell.
Just curious... braille scale would implicate that you would need to be blind ????
especially since this comes from the large scale modellers, who tend to go to large scale because they have problems with their eyesight. ....
I know... but it kept me wondering since i heard of this term for the first time

Aircraft builders call Braille Scale the larger 1/32 or 1/24 scale kits because modelers start working on these scales after their eyesight starts to fail.Just curious... braille scale would implicate that you would need to be blind ????

Armor modelers call 1/72-1/76 scale kits Braille Scale because the kit parts just end up looking like little bumps to most modelers.
Don't know why they have two polar opposite definitions.

I'll do a Revell 1/72 King Tiger and one of the Dragon 1/144 kits too. I have the tiny Tiger I and Maus.
I'll do some minor stuff to the King Tiger, nothing major. Just add a bit of detail but will pass on the PE for this one.
The 1/144's have PE that comes with the kit. That should be fun...
Will make bases for each too.
When does this start and end?

Steve, sounds like you have this one planned. :-)
I haven't seen Dragon's 1/144 range yet, detailing any good?

I did the Tiger and the Maus. For the scale, the detail is excellent. Problem with the Tiger though. Tow cables are molded to the upper hull. In order to use the provided PE you would have to grind the cables off and then glue the PE on. More work than its worth to me. I'll get a couple of pic of mine posted. I plan on getting more. "Q"

I agree. June is a long way off and you may not need so long for a small scale build.
Everyone is on vacation or spending time outside in the Summer.
How about March 15 to May 15? Something like that?

I'd start tomorrow! There are quite a few other campaigns going, so if the others agree.......

Yeah. Lets build!
Any awards to be given for the builders? I have a couple things I would be happy to donate.

That's kind of tough for me. I'm in "Seeing Red" and I've got at least two kits (maybe four) for that build.
If you want to build why not move up the start date, but keep the end date?

I can't. I agree on the starting date but I'd stretch it till June or July.
