Don't forget, you need a tracked self-propelled tank destroyer for this fight. Half tracks are also allowed, as long as they are designed to kill tanks, although full tracked TD's are still encouraged. Wheeled vehicles can not join. Also remember the difference between assault guns and tank destroyers!
That's it men! Return to your tanks and get ready! Final briefing will follow before the offensive.

I might join (I am not certain yet). It all depends on wether I can get, among others, my Jagdpanther finished in time for the Ardennes Offensive Campaign.
If I get it done, I actually might go for a Jagdpanzer IV.
I finally go the first things done on my Jagdpanther in months... though now constructions seems to go fast, very fast. Or, if not available, for a Elefant or Ferdinand.

Do to your comment on Assualt guns, was the issue of the Russian ISU-152 ever resolved?
IF that is too much a assault gun, I suppose I can pull something else out of the stash...

Is the vehicle officially listed as an assault gun or TD? And where they deployed in TD groups or as assault gun/infantry support?
I though SU's are tank destroyers and ISU's are assault guns.
If that is true, it is not a tank destroyer, I'm sorry. But it sounds it won't be a problem as you have an alternative in your stash?

Well, the main problem is that the Russians did not differentiate between a "tank destroyer" and a "Assualt gun". Example:
The ISU-122 series was the best tank destroyer the Russians had in WWII because of its higher muzzle velocity than the ISU-152's 95lb projectile, which was also used as a Tank destroyer. However, both were classified as Assault guns by the Russkies.
Also, the previous series of vehicles, the SU-152, was a similar 152mm howitzer emplaced on the KV-1s chassis.
SU and ISU vehicles were nicknamed "Zveroboy" ("Animal Killer") for their heavy use as a defensive Anti-tank weapon against Tigers, Panthers, and Elephants.
Oh, and SU stands for Samokhodnaya Ustanovka (self propelled mounting). ISU stands for Iosef Stalin Ustanovka (Joseph Stalin (vehicle series) mounting). Again, no differentiation between TD and AG.
However, now that we have had our history and technical breifing, if the ISU-152 still sounds too much outside the intended parameters, I do have other kits I can build instead.
Just not nearly as manly, fearsome, or awesome... :-)

Well reading your post I have no problems with you entering this as entry.
I was especially talking about for instance a Sturmtiger, Brummbär etc.
Even better: build the ISU and the thing you've got on stash. Then you make sure you have something good :-)

Yep, you can buy all your stuff now.
The idea of a campaign is you build with a group of people on a certain subject in a certain period of time. So, you must NOT start before the start date of the campaign.
Of course it IS ok if you buy your kits already and make sure you are ready to go as the campaign starts (so in this case, May 1st)
I also have one kit already so I can start building right away :-)
So, buy already everything you want, but wait with building untill the campaign has started!

Ok... I think I am going to enter a no longer exotic kit..
The Trumpeter Marder I (75mm Pak 40 auf 39(H)). I also have the older resin version (oops, a bit expensive ). On the other hand, it gives me an option to compare and possibly use as an example for an attempt at scratchbuilding some stuff.
It is still conditional (have to finish some other stuff first).

Hi all,
I dont know what TD too build I have the following in my stach:
Panzer IV L70/Lang (Tamiya)
JagdTiger (Dragon)
Nashorn (Dragon 1st edition)
JagdPanther (Dragon)
M-18 Hellcat (Acadamy)
M-18 Hellcat (AFV Club)
Achilies II (AFV Club)
I feel like the Hellcat, but which one?
From what I have heard the Acadamy one has some dimension issues is this correct? if so is there a correction set out there?
Or should I Just build the AFV Club kit.
This will be my first armour kit in a very long time.
Ciao
Luciano

Hi mate,
I don't know about the accuracy of the M18's but I'd say:
Build as much of those kits as you can :-)
Good luck!

Nerts I forgot that the campaign doesn't start until then However I do have some other kits Are prototype fully tracked TD's allowed? I have the Cromwell E-25 TD A resin kit I also hace a Tacam 2 That was a Romainian TD based on the 35 (t) chassis It was armed with the Russian 76mm That kit is made by CMK
However it has a sparse interior I have been looking for images of that interior No luck Here's a pic of the Romainian TD I am talking about
