No problem Martin, glad to help out. It is all yours now, so I will fade back into just being a builder.

Opened the box of my T-38 today.
WOW! The kit even has PE parts!
A 1:35 amphib tank with PE for less than 10 euro's!!!!
I feel a review or building article boiling up!
@Martin: Looking forward to that LVT!
Bison decals have nice decal sheets for LVT's at the Walcheren landings. (W-Day?? :-) )
I mentioned them allready once on the Walcheren forum.
Check them out, they are not that expensive and they just look great!

Twelve hours later, and this is the result for the day.
Funny, I discovered it was actually an AER kit wit MPM PE parts (see last picture). Thinks that's why the manufactorers firm is called "Cooperativa"
I made some adjustments:
- drilled out the headlights, claxon and muffler
- cutted the closed hatch open so I can place a figure in it. I have to make a new hatch from scratch...
The T-38 starboard side:
and port side:
And the AER marking is obvious there:
Comments welcome!

PS. Hey Martin, no gallery yet for this campaign??? :-)

OK...
No comments than...?
Well, I just plow along. Below are two pictures of the progress. I made the turret hatch out of styreen plate.
I only offered 1 PE part to the carpet gods...
It was a small round from about 2 mm. in diametre, so I cutted a slice of thin sprue to simulate the part, and it looks OK (you can see it in the left lower corner of the square hatch aside the turret).
Some reference pictures show that there is a handgrip somewhere on the back deck, sow I'm gonna scratchbuild a grip there (no grip included in the kit). Also some small parts on the hatch are planned to scratch build to give more detail.
I'm also thinking about replacing the gun with something that looks bether than the part from the kit.
Searching the net for info, I came across a nice site about a recovered T-38. You can find it here: http://www.nortfort.ru/np/foto_t3815_e.html

Sounds very cool! Which kits will you use?
If I may do a suggestion.....Sherman DD's were used during the operations in the Scheldt, Holland 1944. I love the history of this operation, maybe you can make your DD a version which was used during that operation?

Well, it is the early Resicast M4 DD-Sherman with lowered screen. I have a decals set from resicast too, but i am not shure if it will fit to the vehicle. "Mr. Resicast" said it will but i think he didn't realised wich kit i own. Kick off was on sunday. Right now i have cleaned up the mayor parts of the tank. Working time till now around 4 hours. Dry fit of the parts is very good. Hope it will go on this way, because the instruction leaves you in the darkness at many points. The for free offered cd, wich is shipped with new kits is one the way since April.
I'll post pic's next.

@ Alan:
realy fast build. Looks very good
Is the antenna mount glued? It looks like pointing forward. I would bend it in the opposite direction, to show the tension of it when the antenna is tied down.
And you can open the ends of the tube at the bow. These openings are the outleds from the bilge pumps.
Happy modelling
