Covering for Marttinnnn, I wanted to get interest started in this campaign with just under a week to go.
So, what are we all going to build?
I was thinking of doing a BMP or BTR variant, but maybe a US Marine vehicle would be fun too.

Found what I am building, definately a BTR-80 series vehicle based on a pic I found of a cammo'd one with a massive sharkmouth painted on the front of the hull...cool!
Heck, with all this fun, I may do two kits for this build!

I'll be building a weasel. I forgot about the BTR 80s being amphibs I have one. Jaques are you doing yours as a Cold War period Soviet example? I look forward to seeing it. I've always liked the looks of a BTR.

I was gearing up to build a BDRM-2 anyway for a diorama with the DML scud and never had thought of it for the amphibs campaign until now.

Thought I would try one of those LVT A 1's. Just an OTB this time around, maybe alittle scratchbuilding on some parts, and maybe some loose stowage parts, and, and, I might be in trouble here. :-)

I've got quite a few Braille scale amphibious kits, but have not decided whether or not to enlist in this campaign. I've already committed to too many of them for the near future.
I would like to try to build my UM 38t into a Schwimmkorper. I originally bought the conversion for the Attack Hobbies 38t but gave up on that kit since it was rather weak.

I am pretty sure that my picture is a post 1990 BTR-80...not sure which model it is right at the moment, need to get back home and check it out again.
However, with the cammo and that big funky shark mouth, it definately stands out in the standard sea of russian green.
As for the second kit I was thinkin' maybe a LAV mortar carrier or a LVT series kit...I have to make sure I have time before I commit to two, but amphibs are a blast to do.
Heck, I may just jump into a dio idea I have had for years of doing a BTR-80 swimming in the water...
