Okay, we are OFF!!!
Members can post what they will be doing here, but for extended updates please use a separate forum thread. About mid campaign, I will ask for an update to see where everyone is, and at the end of the campaign one will be used to award ribbons (which I have yet to design; something to do in my off time).
Okay to get things started, I will attempt to do an old Academy M997 Maxi Ambulance with Eduard PE. I don't have an on-hand digital picture, but it will be sand colored. I am hoping to do custom decals for the first time The custom decals would be of a forward surgical unit that a couple of guys who went to a nearby college were stationed with in OIF I-II.
If it doesn't work, I still have a standard Maxi, but I'd like to do something a bit more.
Have fun, happy modelling, here is to a good campaign and a great model (root)
Jeff
EDIT We also have a gallery set up. Please only put images of completed models. Thanks

Hi and Happy 2006!
So, I gather by Erik's post that we can be involved in more than one campaign? I did not know that, Yippee!

Yes, you can be in as many campaigns as you wish, but it is encouraged that you only join if you are pretty sure you will finish on time.

of course they count. Anything that carries a load (and a recovered vehicle is regarded as a load) counts LOL

OK Racers post,
Get to the bench and start slappin plastic.
I will attempt an M977 CBT w/ LHS. My load will be a std Flatrack with parcels. Im thinking MRE's and Water for the troops. Here's a pic I posted already in the other thread.
So with that out of the way and the cat OOTB ,, I think the above pic detail set is made by Pro Art, but Im not possative. Does anybody know of a US distributor that handles these products. The listing for over seas items was over $75 and I'm not up for paying 1/2 the amount for shipping that the kit costs. any help would be greatly appreciated and TY in advance.

Sorry the only sites that I have even found Pro Art are international sites (international being not US ). Oh, I have occasionally seen these on Ebay. The current one is from a guy I've bought stuff from. He is located in Belgium, but shipping wasn't bad and he was nice to work with and one of the few Pro Art sellers on Ebay. Just make sure to ask him the shipping costs before buying as he doesn't list it.

Started last night with the Monogram model. This is how far I am now.
The wheels are resin ones from Trakz (actually for a jeep, but they look OK to me).
Does someone know who makes 1:25 accesiores, like cans, boxes and weapons? Or even figures?

I have had contact with a member and I've had to amend a rule to the campaign. An entry made by multiple people will not be accepted. Officially this rule didn't exist in the initial campaign rules only on the basis that I didn't foresee this. Now it does. It is my opinion that a model should be built by one person. If the single person is a young child of the member, I will make the exception, but an entry made by multiple people will not be excepted. I am completely sorry that this even had to occur.
Any questions on this, please PM me on this and I will be more than willing to talk about it.
Jeff

Jeff I don't think any of us thought that this would happen, I know I certainly did not forsee it.
I do not enter competition at model shows but I believe that in most competitions you must be the sole builder UNLESS you do a joint entry with everyones name on the entry ticket.
With the Campaigns here on Armorama you enter as a person, not a group so therefore I feel it is reasonable to accept only entries done solely by one person as that is the way the membership of the big A goes.
Cheers
Cliff

I was just wondering about a DUKW, would that count as a subject for the campaign?
If so I'll be completing the one I have done by Italeri...

Ive added my name to the list as well, tonight. I completed the first campaign (Chevy, limber and 25pdr), so I thought why not. I´ll probably enter with Italeri´s water tank truck this time!

Go to My Gallery, Miscellaneous Album http://photos.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php/cat/14583 & you'll find 4 pix of the water tanker from the 2-1/2 TM that might be useful.

This is great. I knew we'd have a lot of returnees from the original campaign as well as a lot of new members from the massive expansion Armorama has experienced in the past year, but I didn't think it was going to be this big. We had 121 in the original campaign. We currently have 50 and are growing.
