I think I have figured these forums out now so I take a chance trying to post.
I played around with the old 1/76 scale Chi-Ha tank from Airfix. I am old enough to have been inspired by the dioramas in those old Tamiya catalouges and this is a result of it.
I also used some Esci Barbarian figures. My first plan was to remove the weapons and ad some beach tennis gear instead but I couldent make it work.

@Bradley: that mud and water looks awesome! The poor Sherman is stuck right in it. Muddy good diorama!
@Bjorn: What a nice and good idea! Very funny! I like the rusted monster on the white beach. You re-scuplted the Barbarians very good (I was allready wondering what you used for the figures). Well done!
You could add a little football to the scene too! :-)

Well, here 'tis:
Trumpeter KV-2, Friul ATL-10 tracks; Lionroar LE35060 PE; Verlinden 1329 Engine, and transmission scavenged from a Maquette T-34 kit. Finished with Tamiya NATO green, multiple layers of drybrush and some Mig powders.
Overall:
A peek inside the engine/transmission:
Close-up of the turret:
I learned a TON doing this vehicle, and will probably continue to tinker with it over the next couple of months:
(a) the tracks are too orange. I need to redo them, to tone down the rust and add more mud/dust
(b) I originally tried to use Voyager PE for the fenders. Don't bother. The rivets are not realistic and it was a major PITA to work on. I ended up using the kit fenders, filling in sink holes and adding select pieces of the Voyager PE.
I will post more info on my website later on...like I said, I learned a load doing this. Comments welcome, hope you enjoy it.

WOW! Nice work on this rusty 'Ivan', Dan!
The engine inside gives a good effect. Perhaps a little rust on it also, since the hatches are open, so rain can get in (and all the tank is rusty).
I like the battle damage very much.
Is there gonna be a dio to it?

Paul - good suggestion about the engine, thanks. Also, I think I need to tone down the rust some on the tracks, and up some on the running gear
Yes, I think this one will turn into a diorama sometime later. In the Squadron/Signal book "Soviet Panzers in Action" there is a photo of a young lady sitting on the main gun of a shot-up KV-2...I've always wanted to do something like that, if I can find the appropriate figure.

Here is my entry: Tamiya's SdKfz 232 (8rad) 1/35
The vehicle has no right headlight (only two wires left hanging - barely visible on pics), bent front right fender and hits/shrapnel marks on front armour plate and front right side of hull and fender.

I would definitely do this again.

Ok well Ihave to call this finished for the campaign... Have been crook for the last couple of days; days which I had set aside to make this diorama 'POP'
As a result the figure did not get finished, as well as some minor tank details and mud touch-ups and a gloss finish for the water...
Going outside for the pics nearly killed me, so apologies if they aren't the most suited...
A happy NYE to all
And I would like to take this opportunity to remind you to reach inside your hearts and think of those less fortunate than yourselves... Namely me, as I've got some stomach bug and I'll be home on my lonesome for the celebrations...

Poor Brad.......
O.K> enough sympathy :-)
The mud, especially in the first photo, really caught my eye. It looks very real. Plenty of time to finish it off later when you are feeling better.
Nice work Brad.
Get well soon.

I can't find my camera so I had to use my girlfriend's Nikon -with a 300mm telephoto lens...
Anyway, when I find it, I'll take some decent photos. The model is not as good as I wanted it to be, but not as bad as the photo.

Here's my entry. The idea started some time ago when I first saw Keith Magee's Digital Diamonds No. 1 for the leaking oil drum. I thought it was a neat idea, and wanted to build a diorama around that concept. I decided on a wounded soldier taking cover behind an MB-T Trailer from my scrap box. When the Purple Hearts Campaign started I decided to "wound" the trailer, too, with a broken axle and severe rust.
There were several firsts for me on this project:
1. First resin figures (Warriors Hit the Beach - Pt. 3)
2. First scratch superdetailing (for the trailer - reflectors, hand brake, tie down brackets, tow chains)
3. First use of oils for some washes.
4. First use of airbrush on a finished project.
5. First use of dry pastels for final weathering.
6. First damaged vehicle.
I forgot to add the electrical hookup cable to the trailer, but I'll do that this afternoon. I also wish I would have made flat tires, but wasn't ready to tackle that yet.

And... as promised!
This 222 is gone swimming after a Polish artillery hit.
The commander is still a bit dizzy sitting and wondering what's happened.
Two more pic's in the campaign gallery.
