I'd appreciate it if someone could mail me the .jpg file as I experienced the same issues with RapidShare.

Thanks,

Marcelo,

Thank you very much. Just received your e-mail. One question, though: It has a border around it when I print it, is it supposed to be like that? I printed it to "Fit the media". It now looks smaller. I'm not very tech savy.

I went ahead and right clicked the example from Marcelo's posting and saved it to my documents. I printed them out and they are crisp and clear.

Hi Marcelo,

These are too modern for my modeling interests, but I really appreciate your effort and generosity!

I encourage anyone with your talents and interests to create and share items like this.

Hello Mark!

Try to print from a photo edition software (even the MS Office Picture Manager can work) and print it without "fit the media" option. It may work. The horizontal size of the printed boxes should be close to 1,517 " or 38,5 mm.

Bye,

Marcelo

Marcelo,
Thanks for the file. I've got them!
In a post a little up the page you mention the boxes should be 38.5mm horizontally, I presume this means all 4 faces of the box?
The trouble is mine print out at approx. 150mm.
Anyone have any ideas why?
TIA
Tom

Hello guys!

Here there are the dimensions of the box print in 1/35 scale.

It´s in milimiters.

I´ll also create a new file, now with other water boxes bands. I also have Gulfa and Masafi water boxes, both used in OIF by american troops. I´ll try another way rather tham Rapid Share now

Bye,

Marcelo

Guys,

There is a new downloada option and also a new file option, now with three water boxes brads - Gulfa, Masafi and Mozn.

I recommend that everybody who took the first file, also take this one. All brands are OIF compatible and made using Corel Draw and real boxes pictures.

Here is the link: Water boxes new download link and new file - more complete!!

Bye and I hope you also enjoy these other two brands.

Marcelo--some other things I saw a lot (at least in Baghdad) were Maxim and Stuff magazines, Stars and Stripes, and foldable cloth chairs (lots of those, in all kinds of colors). You could even throw in Pizza Hut and Burger King wrappers for 2005 and later Baghdad dioramas.

Another tidbit: From around December through March rain turns the areas around Baghdad into giant mud pits, so you can choose to give your models a light mudbath if you are representing a post-invasion scene.

There is one type of water which I liked a lot but can't remember the name of. The only picture I can find of the bottle unfortunately shows only the Arabic name. I think it's from Kuwait, if that helps.

The cloth chairs are fairly simple things--here's an example:

In addition, many Humvees on patrol carried large white and red placards on the back warning civilians to keep back. Here's an example with only Arabic script--I also saw ones with both English and Arabic:

Wow Marcelo,

Those boxes look really graet. Tommorrow I will try to print them.

As for other suggestions. As mentioned; the different sign on vehicles in arabic and possibly the normal big cardbord boxes to transport all sorts of goods ?!

Cheers,
Marc
