Hi Sebastien!
I stopped with the T62 because the Verlinden set really and the Tamiya T62 is very dated too. So at the moment I'm waiting for Trumpeter on their T62 release and hoping they made the T62 more decent Thanks for asking!

Hi Guys!
Small update this time I scratched the headlight guards and I used for the lights Tamiya and Trumpeter spare parts. I also replaced the periscope covers. Also did the antenna but I will make a new one. I'm not happy the way it is now. The periscopes and headlights are not glued on the model yet. I keep them apart from damaging. (I know myself )
Hope you like it!
Cheers!

Hi guys,
plans changed since my last post. I thought open hatches would add much more interest to the vehicle so I demolished the hatches. At the moment it is still very rough and I need to sand a lot...
I made a few mistakes at the beginning which I now need to fix. Offcourse I did this all to give Jacques a lead

Thanks for a "leg-up" Jurjen...too bad I need it!
So, you have not impressed us enough, now you have to go and revise things too...sheesh, show off!
Very nice work though, keep at it. If I am going to finish first, I expect you to come in a close second.

Hi Guys!
I know,... shame on me for not updating for a while
Well, I haven't been very active lately but nonetheless I want to show you some pictures. I decided to remove the evergreen hatches and made them open because it add much more visual interest. Futher I reworked the antenna mount and the periscope covers. I hope you like it!

Oh man Jurgen! Your model is amazing! Soviet cold-war AFVs are so cool, but there aren't many good quality models out there. You're doing a great job bringing this kit up to snuff

Great work Jurgen. Whose FLAT-BOX B sensors are you using)? Looks like a non-kit part.

Oh about the antenne. I used some evergreentube under the green dish. (the only kitpart). Above the green dish I used different evergreen cirkels made from the punch&die. The bolts are made from leadfoil punched with the Punch&Die. For the antenne self I used a small spring and a brass tube.
:)

Hey Jurjen,
Nope, you are thinking of the radio antenna!
The Flat Box B are these:
The other radar is the Top Hat one between the missile pods.
Just wondering if they are from the kit, they sure do not look like it.

Thanks!
They are the kit parts but the lighting is very weird on the parts. They look indeed much darker then the other kit part colours. Lol.

You do know there already is/was a 1/35 Madcat made years ago, albeit in vinyl, from Horizon? Of course it was LONG ago, and it fetches collectors prices now, but it is a alternative to scratchbuilding.
See, now you have no excuse not to work on the SCUD-B next!
Um, maybe you didn't want to know that.

Hi Guys!
No progress on the Strela lately. I don't know what it is but I really have trouble to finish kits lately. At a certain point it looses my interest and then I see an other cool model which needs to be build.
A bit frustrating though,...
Anyway, begin September the new college year starts so I'm afraid I haven't got much time to work on it....
O well.
beer on me guys!

Join the club Jurjen! I think many of us have that problem! Sometimes I say I should just stay off of here just so I don't get distracted by new kits and projects! lol
Anyway your Skif looks GREAT! Please don't stop, it's a beauty!

Hy Jurjen!
Just take your time, man. We all know that feeling. I for one always need several weeks or even months between each project before IŽm "ready" to start a new one. There is always enough of other stuff which needs to be done.
And of course there are always other kits which attract us, donŽt worry.
Just keep an eye on your STRELA, donŽt forget it and everything is fine.
Relax, have fun, do whatever you want........and.....have a succesfull new year on the college!
Best regards,
Andy T.

Hi Guys!
It has been a long time since I posted something here. (shame on me )
I finally found the inspiration last week to continue with the Strela and this weekend I started with the cockpit. It is still a basic structure because my progress with scratchbuilding is really slow.
