He was a Free French pilot who joined the RAF Must have read this book a dozen times when I was a kid .... Frenchy[/quote] Great book, I've just recently finished reading it. Really wish someone would do a figure or bust of him. EDIT: That telemeter is a very cool looking kit with lots of dio potential.

Now all we need is a 10.5cm or 12.8cm Anti-Aircraft Gun to go along with it.

Actually the cables were used to connect guns with the telemeter in order to send data to the fuse setter and the azimut and elevation dials. This is the reason of having two sets of dials in the guns, one served to show the data sent by the telemeter and the other shows the actual position of the gun. The gunner had to move the controls so both dials reached the same position. Javier

This is really cool, great possabilities for us dio builders. So, lacking any other info on this beast, how far from the gun emplacements would this machine sit. And would it be an integral part of the Atlantic wall defence system? Stated that it could be used for large caliber guns, does this mean it would be restricted to A.A. guns only or could it be used for coastal guns also?

These rangefinders will be real handy on my 1/35 Bismarck!

Very very cool kit.....I believe Schiffer did a "German Range Finders" book some years ago, I'm sure I have it somewhere!

Interesting track set. The AFV club sets are pretty good for detail, but not workable like these say. I wonder how they will fit.
