Dragon has announced another German tank destroyer, this one a prototype that did not make it far out of the design garage.
Dragon has brought us prototypes in the past, but this one I find very interesting. The Waffentrager was an attempt to make the big 88mm more mobile

for German antitank crews, unfortunately it did not make it past the prototype phase.

6728 - Ardelt-Rheinmetall 8.8cm PaK 43 Waffenträger

No release date yet, but stay tuned to Armorama.

More prototypes. Dragon, you do know there are AFV's that were actually built and used in need of a quality representation. How about something in the form of a T37, T38, or T26 series. If you can't bring yourself to do early war Soviet then how about at least covering the early Panzer III (A thru D) series.

Not what I wanted, but it's German, so it will sell. I'm frustrated as there are announced releases I want to see, and this has already been released by Trumpeter. I'll just keep waiting.

Is it just me, or does this vehicle look like a slightly larger version of an ASU 85 Maybe some russian designer got a peek at the drawings and thought, hmm, maybe if.... Well, just a thought. Jacob

I am very happy with that realising of that waffenträger. We should not forget that several were biuld and saw service in the closing days of war. The only thing I wont is the ardelt one which is offered by alan, azimut and S-Modell; but no one is correct or easy to build

Less people will whine and lady about accuracy in regards to a prototype. cheers

Interesting, but man is that ugly! That big grille on the front looks off-putting! Neat kit, but I am not big on prototypes, save for the Porsche Tiger I...it's unique at least.....isn't that what we want?

I don't think so. There are sooooooo many real tanks that have been in service for decades that have yet to be produced in plastic. cheers
