Dragon Models - Dragon - Big and Small

Coming soon to a model retailer near you, a big tank killer and a couple of braille vehicles from Dragon.

Dragon has announced some pretty interesting upcoming releases. First of in 1/35 scale, the big Ferdinand. And if small is your style, two 1/72 scale releases, a LRDG patrol truck and a Sd.Kfz.263. All three are stated for a tentative June release.

6495 - Sd.Kfz.184 Ferdinand Kursk 1943 - 1/35
7439 - Long Range Desert Group Patrol Car w/Lewis Gun - 1/72
7444 - Sd.Kfz.263 Funkspähwagen (8-Rad) - 1/72

wow Al, how underwhelming.. I was like WHAT? DML is doing an allied softskin??????? Have they gone mad or something? I figured I would have to wait for years for an accurate 1/72 LRDG Chevy in plastic. Thank you DML

I was just looking the other day to see what DML had in the Elephant type so I will be looking forward to this 1. The other 2 I have the Tamiya versions in 1/35 and would have liked to see them in 1/35

Wow - you wait ages for an impractical Porsche tank, and then two come along at once! Is this an upgraded re-pop of the earlier DML Ferdy, or complete new tool? Tom

I do find it a little strange, or coincidental, that both Tamiya and Dragon both announce their versions of the Elefant/Ferdinand at the roughly the same time. hmmmmm?

My thoughts as well. That ex-LRDG Chevy salvaged from Libya was a 1940 chassis. Why not do that one? It had a cooler grill.
