MiniArt 1/35th scale building

MiniArt has started work on a full building in 1/35th scale that could be useful for a number of time periods and places on the globe.

MiniArt looks to be well on the way with this project and I am sure it could be utilised in a number of ways. The only downside I can see that is possible is that a diorama would have to be quite large to accommodate this structure and a vehicle or vehicles. It is not clear if this is to be injection moulded plastic or vacuform but at least it is 1/35th scale. Perhaps they saw a recent post where someone asked if they could upscale there 1/72nd scale offerings.

Looks good, and modular meaning you could extend it into a factory. What's really lacking in 1/35 are some styrene figures in generic overalls. I think a set of civilian mechanics figures would be a big seller and they could be used in practically any time period. I know there are various mechanic sets available but they all have some militaristic aspect to the clothing.

Nice one and not in ruins, that's good for a change! When I get one, I'll scratchbuild a "metal" door, more of a "factory look" I'm after. I just wish MiniArt prices were lower for those vacuform offerings, I mean I paid 15€ for a sheet of vacuformed cobblestone pavement with a few short run injection moulded accessories, come on! It might be possible to use racing pit crew, although there's a dearth of them in 1/35 -- 1/20 and 1/24 are the common racing model scales. They're not really mechanics, but Industria Mechanika has a three-figure set of deckhands (sculpted for their Remora kit) which are nonmilitary:

They also have Sasha the Welding Girl (currently restocking a 3rd run), who is definitely non-military.

And if you use a few of these sets, plus the stairs sets, you can build something like this one below...

I'm a big fan of Miniart buildings but judging by prices for their kits building this would cost a lot. Miniart buildings are great fun to build in a zen kind of way. I used three of their Church buildings combined to build this

I agree that they tend to be costly, and not easy to build... but for people who are not good at scratch building buildings.. I guess they don't have a lot of options out there Very nice dio, by the way Hisham

This doesn't look like such a large building to me. You can see Min-Art's standard injection molded windows along the side, and their standard sized half-door in the larger door; these are just a bit taller together than a 1/35 scale person. If you have any of the Mini-Art buildings, you probably have some of these standard windows or doors so you can get a good idea of size from those.
