Personally, I think these figures look great and something fresh. The four can be used together should one wish. I guess it all depends on how you would use them ... I usually place a figure or two with my latest armor pieces, and any pair of these would go well together ... dont think they are totally limited to Crete either ... Italy and/or North Africa?

Wow Dragon...More Germans..!!!! As much as I love German kits I wish Dragon would give the allied fans a run and maybe do some 'Crete Defenders' Australians, New Zelanders and other Commonwealth troops?

Unfortunately the cover art is wrong since no Matilda MkIII CS ever saw action in Crete or any other part of Greece.

One thing I have to say is I like the way the figures(in the box art anyway) are skinny. This is a lot more accurate than the figgies were say,25 years ago. The old Tamiya figgies back then were nice to see but they were always a little chubby in the hands and face. The German army was not known for over supplying it's troops with food. Or anything else for that matter!! J

I also thought the Matilda looked out of place. Then I had an "ah hah!" moment. Not to start an unfounded rumour, but could Dragon be planning a line of Matildas of their own? They often sneak images of upcoming armour into the background of their new releases - could be coincidence, too, but? The most recent examples I can think of was the Blitz/Maultier/RSOs all having cameo appearances long before they were announced.

Im with you RECCON my own personal protest is I dont buy much German stuff unless its something very different ..why how many Tigers Panthers or 8 wheel armored cars do we need from different manufacturers .Pity they dont talk to each other and do something other than German..I know it sells what about some opposition allied or axis allies instead of more Tigers
