Two new kits are on the way from Dragon Models, and while they may look familiar, there are a few updates that may be worth the second look.
Dragon Models USA has announced two new 1/35 scale Dragon Model kits due for February 2013. The first builds on a common theme from Dragon, a Panzer IV Ausf.H, but this time with zimmerit. The kit will include decals from Cartograf covering operational Panzer units from Normandy. The second announcement is the 25pdr Mk.II, this builds on Dragon’s initial release, with this being the ‘Ordnance QF 25 pounder’ version. The kit will include storage limber as well.

6774 – British 25pdr Field Gun Mk.II w/Limber

Well, given the high cost of AM Zimmerit sets, I'd say that molded-on will be popular. And the Normandy option is also going to be a hit with many, so it might seem like "Oy, ANOTHER Pz. IV?" but it's not.

This is one that I am definately interested in, the Ausf.H with zim would be a nice addition to the collection.

I hope that they have taken a better look at the 25pdr this time as I found the earlier offering disappointing. However I am sure that the Pz.Kpfw.IV will be very good as it is something they do very well.

Do tell before I go too far with the other kit ..I'm building 625 from the 12th SS ..I've backdated the wheels but am I on the wrong track ,should I wait? Rick

The only difference I can see, is the one you mentioned is Late Production, and this new kit is Mid-Production. Maybe one of the Panzer Experts could pipe in and tell you the difference between the productions.

WOW what a cool coincidence, I built this subject from a Tamiya kit with the exact same markings some years back! The caption in the Sqadron "Walk Around" from which I copied the subject sais it was a "late war J series"

I'm JUST finishing 2 DML 6560 kits(both 2nd panzer div) To those unfamiliar but curious, these kits can be challenging and, by extension, extremely gratifying. I Can't get enough of Normandy subjects.. I love Ron Volstad's artwork so much..
