Bronco Models has sent Armorama a major update with some fantastic news for Allied modellers.
Bronco Models has made some great announcements of late and while some of these items are new products there is also some great updates on previous announcements. Images of the sprues for the 6pdr and its crew and the British Airborne troops in the ¼ ton truck and trailer indicate the release is imminent. The newly announced CV3/33 Tankette which features a very complete looking engine and opening hatches should prove to have appeal and only needs a figure added for a very complete model. The fourth rendition of the little Italian car may have appeal for those that have not purchased one previously due to it being shown in military use and supplied with 2 Italian infantry figures.
The QF 6pdr looks to be a stunning model and will be supplied with its own four man crew and a selection of ammunition and ammunition cases. The ever popular ¼ ton truck makes its third outing I believe and it does contain 8 British Airborne figures and I suspect an American Airborne crew will not be too far behind either as a figure set or with their very own ¼ ton truck.
There are no vehicles to raise a cheer from modern vehicle modellers, but I am sure some will be glad to see the upcoming release of two new sets of workable track links for post-World War Two tanks.

AB3565 – T80E1 workable track link set steel for the M26 and M46
AB3566 - T84E1 workable track link set rubber for M46 and M47
CB35125 – CV3/33 Tankette series II (Early production)
CB35164 – Italian light staff car (open top) with crew Libya
CB35168 – OQF 6pdr Anti-tank Mk IV on carriage Mk III (Airborne) with crew
CB35169 – British Airborne troops riding in ¼ ton truck and trailer

All great stuff! I'm most enthused by the two Italian subjects, though, especially the CV3/33. Very nice.

I like the staff car. Maybe a mini dio with it burning? Jeff

Yes, lots of good stuff there. I'm particularly looking forward to their Airborne additions, finally a gun to tow behind my 6pdr jeep and the jeep and trailer will be a class item. There is a really interesting article of the 6pdr in use at Arnhem so I can see a couple of these entering the stash. Lots of new paras too which is excellent. The Italian subjects are also very neat. Happy days. Al

Concerning the 6lb'er, I know the British and US paras used the same gun, but did they both use the same pattern wheels/tires?

There are three main tyre types which are sand, road, and rough terrain, and if memory serves the pattern on these is rough terrain.

Bronco have done an excellent job of including Figures with the models. Well done Bronco, the 6 pounder looks excellent and Will not hold the same price tag as the resin 6 pounder A huge dollar saving to the modeller. Thanks
