With the interest which has been re-generated over Trumpeter's BR52in 1/35th scale and the increasing range of railroad-related artillery and rolling stock, there still remains a nagging problem - railroad track in the appropriate scale...
I first saw this useful new release over on P.M.M.S. and I gratefully acknowledge this 'source'.

This new product is produced/marketed by the Canadian on-line retailer - The Hobby Centre. The set consists of parts sufficient to produce 36 Inches of track. The pack contains the following:

wooden ties

resin cast tie plates

resin cast rail joiners

metal spikes

6 weathered rails

English language instructions with photos

The price of the track is $35.00 USD (36 inch section) and $63.00 for a 72 inch section.

That is great to see some RR track for 1/35!! However, from the looks of it it appears to be of North American prototype (note the fish plate with 3 holes for spikes). I might be wrong, as I dont know a whole lot about european rail, but does anybody in europe use this style? I guess that if the US Army rebuilt some railways during thier march across europe, some would look like this. Most european rail ive seen has the rails bolted down, with a metal bracket where the fish plate is. (Fish plate is that metal plate between the rail and ties). It would be cool to see them release some other styles.... Thanks for the post and review! Andy

Not bad...less than a buck a foot. From the looks of it, it is done up as US type, but the g scale track I have is the LGB/Aristo "euro" style and is the same thing but rounded top corner ties and the same flange plate and clamps. Not the most reliable source, but it's all I got...the price is still good though since the DML track is prettymuch gone and the RPM sections{11.5" per box and cost $7 for "A" box} isn't that great. My 2 cents for what it's worth in your neck of the woods...
