The Miniature Armoured Fighting Vehicles Association (MAFVA) will hold its 50th anniversary UK Nationals show at IWM Duxford again this year, on Father's Day!
That's right - the 2015 MAFVA Nationals is on Sunday 21 June, open from 10am to 4pm. Venue is the Imperial War Museum's site at Duxford, Cambridgeshire (UK), a former RAF airfield that served in WWII. This year the show celebrates MAFVA's 50th birthday!
Inside a large marquee tent will be a wide range of vendors selling all manner of modelling goodies, and of course all the MAFVA branches showing off their handiwork. The usual features (Bring & Buy, HQ desk for re-subscribing, tea tent etc) will be there, so keep checking the updates on the MAFVA website for details.
One thing that will be different this year is the lack of a "full-sized" vehicle show outside the tent - the IWM hasn't arranged one this time. Still, there is the collection of preserved vehicles and artillery in the Land Warfare Hall, as well as all those hangars full of wingy-things!
See www.mafva.net/nationals.htm for further information.
