I have the original kit as well ... was wondering if this might just be an ammo/crate upgrade .. and what caliber?

MiniArt has improved over the years but many of their figure's heads seem kinda blockish-looking to me - thick seam lines and thick necks. I prefer Dragon, MB or Verlinden to MiniArt with most Tamiya figures right next to the aforementioned products.

MiniArt has great plastic figures ...from great sculptors. And yes, the cleaning up of their molds would be always a right move! BTW, the painted figures image is the good old one, from their first release. Also at this kind of images the painter always used to do some extra work on the models, improving the details, ie. ears, pockets etc. Something that is necessary when you want a pro result from a plastic figure.

This is also a very nice kit for modification to say, surrendering and carrying the wounded or both.

I'd be delighted if they took some of the poses of theri figures and turned them into British Artillery crew. I've used these for conversions to WW1 troops but it would be nice to have some custome made so to speak. Al

Some side by side shots of old and new would be nice to see...I also wonder if it is more of an ammo upgrade than anything.

For Stugs..yes...as many, if not most, were operated as artillery..
