The first book from the new Abteilung 502 is here: ABT601 Panther External Appearance & Design Changes, a comprehensive guide of the external details of this famous tank.

According to the publisher, ten years of preparation have gone into this book; included are interviews with those who were involved in the development and manufacture of the Panther tank.

This is the first book about the Panther tank that includes detailed explanations about the factories, specifications, Zimmerit, and camouflage painting patterns. Included are full colour diagram reproductions, detailed perspective drawings of the original features of each manufactured version of this iconic tank. Hundreds of pictures, most of them published for the first time.

Written and illustrated by Roddy Macdougall and Martin Block, there will be only 2000 copies of the book.
