OKB Grigorov presents its latest, the Soviet Heavy Tank T-100.

A potential replacement to the Soviet T-35 was the T-100 heavy tank prototype. A three turret configuration was the initial design, eventually however it was built with two turrets. Its top turret mounted a 76.2mm gun and was able to turn 360 degrees. The second turret mounted a 45mm gun but was placed lower than the top turret thus having a limited field of fire.

Together with other prototype heavy tanks the T-100 tank was tested during the 1939 Soviet invasion of Finland, unfortunately without much success. Its archaic design and poor mobility led to a decision not to pursue production, and the fact that the KV series were a far better alternative.

OKB Grigorov’s Soviet Heavy Tank T-100 (V72054) is a full resin kit rendered in 1/72 scale. The kit includes 132 resin parts and a photo-etched fret with 15 parts.
